A journalist, who was covering Congress’ Jan Akrosh rally in Delhi was allegedly heckled, assaulted for reporting that the event was poorly attended. The reporter is associated with the news channel JKNews24x7 and was reporting on a shortfall in the promised 2 lakh attendance amid the empty seats at the rally.
“जन” नहीं, इसलिए इतना “आक्रोश”
कैमरे पर कपड़ा ढंक दिया और बाद में रिपोर्टर पर कर दिया हमला

In the video, it can be seen that the chairs are lying empty and as the reporter is reporting on the same, a Congress worker gets agitated and starts heckling him.

Someone even tried to cover the camera so that the empty chairs and the assault cannot be recorded. The condemnable visuals are from the rally from Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. The reporter and cameraman were gheraoed by Congress supporters who heckled them and made aggressive gestures towards them.
As reported by Republic TV, Tabish Kamal, the journalist who was heckled, has even demanded an apology to media for such a behaviour by Congress.
