A day after Pune Police claimed to have recovered an incriminating piece of internal communication between suspected urban Maoists that had discussions of an assassination plot to kill Prime Minister Modi, some biased journalists are already on a overdrive trying to discredit the Pune Police’s allegations and downplay the entire issue.
Earlier, Journalist Shekhar Gupta and Saba Naqvi had claimed that Maoists would never discuss assassination over email, today two journalists from The Wire attempted to ridicule Home Minister Rajnath Singh and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval over the issue.
Sharing a tweet with an image that listed news reports related to possible threats of life to PM Modi over last few years, leftist propaganda website The Wire’s journalist and abusive troll Swati Chaturvedi tagged Home Minister Rajnath Singh asking him to sack NSA Ajit Doval. Chaturvedi, however, failed to comprehend that if the Prime Minister is unharmed, it would only mean that the security agencies are doing their job very well. The fact was duly pointed out to her by Twitter users.

Swatis’s tweet had a reply from another star journalist from The Wire. Rohini Singh, who had earlier made mathematically and logically challenged conspiracy theories about a business venture by Amit Shah’s son Jay Shah, which eventually resulted in a 100 crore defamation suit filed against The Wire, supported Swati Chaturvedi’s tweets by claiming the NSA is unable to protect the PM because he is busy snooping journalists.
In their logic free rant, both journalists had forgotten that the image they had shared included reports from a time period when neither Singh was the Home Minister nor Doval was the NSA.

It is greatly ironic that such journalists, who make a hue and cry over Twitter trolls, memes and keep complaining about democracy being in danger each time someone disagrees with them, find excuses to ridicule incriminating pieces of evidence that hold plans for the assassination of a democratically elected Prime Minister.
