Pakistani stooge Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s close aide Ghulam Nabi Sumji advocating Pakistan’s cause has no qualms about seeking Indian alms.
As reported, Sumiji, a former MLA wrote to Mehbooba Mufti government requesting a hike in his pension and release of his arrears, citing an amendment earlier this year to the Jammu and Kashmir State Legislature Act through which the pensions of former legislators were revised.
“We are at war with India against its military presence here. But pension and arrears are my right and why should I leave it,” Sumji told while talking to ‘Rising Kashmir’.
Sumji was an MLA of Muslim United Front (MUF) from 1987-89 and had represented Hom- the ShaliBug constituency of Anantnag. He resigned in 1989 when terrorism erupted in the state and joined Hurriyat Conference to represent Muslim Conference.
Although nothing legally bars the former legislators of all hues to claim pension and dues, ethical questions arise when pro-Pakistan separatists continuously in a state of war with India claim dues from the same.
A Kashmir onlooker said that separatists stand exposed before the people. “The investigations and the subsequent raids carried by the National Investigating Agency (NIA) across Kashmir have proved it beyond doubt that the group of separatists has been receiving huge money from Pakistan and other Gulf countries to burn Kashmir and they have been successful in keeping the pot boiling for the past 30-years.
“He further said that “Sumji’s statement has made it clear that separatists in Kashmir are obsessed with the currency notes and their only aim is to fill their coffers by selling the dead bodies of Kashmiris.”
The sources said the Assembly had approved the hike and communicated the decision to Sumji. Sumji admitted that he receives the pension and had applied for a revision citing the recent amendment.
However, his demand and the approval by the government raised a lot of discontent amongst the citizens who tried making a point through Twitter.

Its time India stops feeding parasites. It is rightly said that people who take oath as MLAs swear by the Constitution of India and take a pledge to safeguard it. Demands of elements like Syed Ali Shah Geelani’s and his close aide Ghulam Nabi Sumji, who claim the rights of an MLA but have turned into traitors ranting against India should be completely brushed aside.
