Radical Islamic outfit threatens to behead Pakistani Christian activist over ‘blasphemy’, announces $20000 reward for carrying out ‘Sar Tan se Juda’

Posters, calling upon Muslims to do 'Sar Tan se Juda' of the Christian activist, are being circulated in Pakistan.

Pakistani Christian activist Faraz Pervaiz, who has been living in exile in Thailand for over a decade, has yet again been the subject of death threats from radical Islamic outfits.

On Saturday (27th July), he informed that a Debonadi organisation named ‘Allama Muhammad Rashid Madni Hamadi Jamia Darul Uloom Hamadiya’ had announced a $20,000 reward to behead him.

The radical Islamic outfit has accused Faraz Pervaiz of committing blasphemy by supposedly producing pictures and sketches of Prophet Muhammad. Posters, calling upon Muslims to do ‘Sar Tan se Juda’ of the Christian activist, are being circulated in Pakistan.

“According to Sharia, such a person is liable to death. It is the responsibility of the Islamic government to issue the death penalty to such a person,” the poster read.

Jamia Darul Uloom has appealed to Muslims to travel to Thailand and avenge the alleged insult to Prophet Mohammed by Faraz Pervaiz.

In a video posted on Facebook, radical Islamic preacher Muhammad Rashid Madani reiterated his unfounded claims about the Christian activist and called for his killing.

While speaking to OpIndia from Thailand, Faraz Pervaiz informed, “The purpose of putting a price on my head in Tando Adam and Sangar area is clear. I have been reporting about the forced conversion and rape of minor Hindu girls and their subsequent marriages to Muslim Men.”

The Christian activist told us that the allegations of blasphemy were designed to intimidate him to stop reporting about the plight of Hindu girls in Pakistan.

He added that the radical Islamic preacher Muhammad Rashid Madani is a close associate of Mian Mitho, infamous for conducting forced conversions and marriages.

“Pakistani Muslims are calling me, pretending to be officials from the Indian Embassy. They claim to help me and insist that I meet them in person. This is akin to honey trapping. They want to get hold of me, torture and then kill me,” Faraz Pervaiz revealed their sinister plans.

Life as a refugee in Thailand

In May this year, OpIndia reported in detail about Faraz Pervaiz and how he had to flee Pakistan in 2014.

Despite staying away in far-flung Thailand, death threats from radical Islamists continued to haunt him.

In 2017, an attempt was made to implicate the Christian activist in a false blasphemy case. A year later, a reward of 10 million PKR (~USD 36090) was announced by Jama’at-ud-Da’wah (JuD) “for a Muslim who will kill Mr. Pervaiz”.

Doxxing and threats to murder Pervaiz family in Thailand followed in the years 2019, 2020 and 2021.

“Revenge has no age, time or boundaries. It provocates immediately and its consequences are entirely dangerous,” Faraz said, adding that his family continue to live in fear.
