The police have registered the complaint against the Naxals for issuing death threats to villagers.

The police officer said that the villagers were fed up and tired of Naxalism and, therefore and they want to come out and fight against Naxals.

Kondagaon is considered to be one of the worst affected areas by Naxalism in the state of Chattisgarh. Recently, few Naxals had surrendered before the security forces, after security forces gunned down eight down eight Naxals in forests of Timinar and Pusnar during Anti-Naxal operation, along Dantewada-Bijapur border. The surrendered naxalites talking to the media said that they face a lot of problems in the Naxal camps.

The present government has been successful in bringing down the number of terror incidents in the country by following a multi pronged approach. The government has also backed up this with the massive financial outlay for developing the basic infrastructure like roads, railways, schools, electricity in the region.

The security forces are carrying a full scale operations against the Naxals in the states of Chattisgarh, Maharasthra and Jharkhand. Hundreds of left-wing terrorists have surrendered in the past few months and seeking to re-build their lives. The combination of the developmental projects and intense security operations in these areas, have resulted in shrinking down of naxals forces in the country.
