Delhi Police raids illegal arms factory run from a house basement owned by Furkaan in Meerut

The Special Cell of Delhi police raided an illegal arms factory being run in the basement of a house in the Lissari Gate area of Meerut as reported by ABP news.

According to CO Kotwali Dinesh Shukla, under the leadership of DCP Kuldeep Kumar of Delhi Special Cell, the raid was carried out in Lakhipura street No. 2 of Leesari Gate.

The house which was being used for running the illegal weapons factory belonged to one Furkaan Rajmistri. The police raided the house on Monday night and seized a large number of finished and unfinished weapons including spare parts in the basement of the house.

Delhi Police launched this operation with the help of an arms smuggler. The workers working in the illegal factory are originally from the Munger area of Bihar which is known to be the stronghold of illegal weapons. Delhi Police has recovered a lot of sacks, sticks, tanks and machines from here.  The number of people reportedly arrested by the police is five according to ABP News and three according to Amar Ujala.

The Police got the clue of the illegal weapons factory a few days ago when an illegal smuggler named Danish was arrested by the police in possession of an illegal pistol. In a massive haul, more than 400 finished and unfinished country-made pistols were recovered from an illegal arms factory in Meerut in August this year.
