From emergency landings to full emergency, Indian airports have had an eventful 24 hours

Two Air India flights and one Spice Jet flight experienced various technical faults in the middle of its journey and had to land at the nearest airports to avoid unfortunate incidents. 

The Indian airspace on Sunday experienced a scary day as three separate flights had to face emergency landings at various airports causing fear among both passengers and the airline operators. According to the reports, an emergency was declared at Kolkata airport on Saturday night after an Airbus A320 neo Air India plane Bkk-Del AI335, started leaking fuel. The flight was coming from Bangkok and was going to Delhi. It soon flew back after it encountered a technical problem and landed at Kolkata. The plane was carrying 150 passengers and all passengers were safe.

In another incident, an Air India Express IX-247, Mumbai-Dubai flight made an emergency landing at the Mumbai airport today due to hydraulic failure, reported ANI. Again, thankfully, all passengers were safe.

As if that was not enough, a SpiceJet flight, carrying over 140 passengers along with the crew, had to make an emergency landing at Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport airport of Varanasi due to a technical snag. A Boeing 737 Max took off from Hong Kong airport was en route Delhi but developed a snag in the left engine mid-air hours before landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA). All the passengers and crew are safe.
