You went to London for evidence against EVMs, now go to Balakot – Rajyavardhan Rathore fires shot at Sibal

It is notable here that the entire 'EVM hacking claim' episode has ended in a colossal embarrassment for Congress and Sibal. The self-proclaimed hacker was also discredited by the very organisations he had claimed to have worked for.

Soon after the Indian Air Force carried out air strikes inside Pakistan’s Balakot, destroying a Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist camp that worked as a jihadi training center, most of Indian’s political opposition has come out parroting Pakistan’s version of statements.

Some of the usually anti-India international media has also picked up the narrative doubting the air strikes and has been continuing Pakistan’s claim that the air strike did not kill any terrorists.

Many of the statements by Indian opposition politicians has found place is Pakistani media propaganda and is being hailed by their politicians who has always been in denial mode over the presence of terrorists on their soil.

Congress leader Kapil Sibal is the latest opposition politician to join the bandwagon.

Kapil Sibal had posted an accusatory tweet asserting that PM Modi is politicising the air strikes as the International media outlets are reporting no evidence of militant losses.

Sibal’s hailing of the version peddled by some of the international media houses ignoring the many international governments and agencies that have confirmed the air strike and supported India for it was called out by union minister Rajyavardhan Rathore.

It is notable here that many of the Congress party’s claims and statements against the Indian government after the air strikes have been hailed and propagated by Pakistan too.

Rathore politely reminded Sibal of the fiasco where he was spotted attending a press conference where some dubious self-proclaimed ‘hacker’ had claimed that Indian EVMs can be hacked, without offering a shred of evidence.

Taking a dig at Sibal, Rathore alleged that he believes the international media while having little faith in the Indian intelligence agencies. He also quipped that just like Sibal had traveled to London to gather evidence against the EVMs, he should also travel to Balakot to verify if the claims made by the Indian agencies are true.

It is notable here that the entire ‘EVM hacking claim’ episode has ended in a colossal embarrassment for Congress and Sibal. The self-proclaimed hacker was also discredited by the very organisations he had claimed to have worked for.

In the aftermath of the Pulwama attack, the Indian Air Force conducted precise air strikes to attack multiple JeM terror camps across the LoC. One of them being in Pakistan’s Balakot. Air Chief Marshal had yesterday confirmed that their strikes had hit at the intended targets. The JeM had itself confirmed about the attacks on its camp in Balakot in its official weekly paper. An audio clip of Masood Azhar’s brother Maulana Amar talking about the Balakot camp being hit has also surfaced.

However, accusing BJP and PM Modi of politicising the air strikes has become a hobby-horse for various opposition leaders when in fact they are the ones who are politicising the incident and undermining the Indian Armed Forces by questioning the authenticity of the strikes and the evidence to support it.
