Actor-turned-politician and Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate from Jadavpur Mimi Chakraborty, who was recently in news for all the wrong reasons as she was seen wearing gloves while shaking hands with the people in her constituency, has again made headlines after a video of her election campaign went viral on social media.

Chakraborty was seen addressing people during her election campaign in a loud manner, almost shouting at them with anger. The Bengali actress who is making her debut into politics with the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, came across as highly arrogant while telling people that she had gone there after leaving everything only because of the people. Otherwise, she did not have a reason to be there.
Chakraborty’s angry rant has resulted in wide criticism on social media.

“I am here only because of you. I have no other reason to be here. I want to work for you. I am here to work for you, I have no other reason to be here. Everyone should get it into their heads. Why have I come here after leaving everything?”, said Chakraborty. Mimi looked as if she was almost intimidating the people present there.
Recently, another video had surfaced on social media, where a TMC leader was caught threatening the people that if they do not vote for Mimi Chakraborty, they will not receive any social welfare benefits from the government.

Recently, another alleged audio clip of a TMC leader was submitted by the BJP to the Election Commission in which he was heard telling the booth workers that the Central Forces were present on only 40 out of a total of 100 booths and that all the government officials, from police to BDO, were under their control.
