As Indian cricket team is set to take on arch nemesis Pakistan in the ongoing ICC cricket world, the media companies are having whale of a time playing up the nationalistic flavour. While India had its ‘Mauka Mauka‘ ad reminding how Pakistan still has a long way to go, Pakistan has taken a dig on Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman’s capture following the Balakot Airstrikes.
An ad has gone viral in the social media circles, in which a look-alike version of Abhinandan can be seen mocking the Indian Air Force fighter pilot with a parody act. Ridiculing the video released of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman by Pakistani military after he was captured a day after the Balakot airstrike, the video made by Pakistan’s Jazz TV shows a cheap version of Abhinandan wearing a blue jersey with a moustache.
In the video, the parody repeats those statements made by Abhinandan during his capture, “I’m sorry, I am not supposed to tell you this” when asked about questions related to India’s playing XI and the team’s strategy if it wins the toss.

Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, in an encounter with the intruding Pakistan fighter jets, had shot down a Pakistan F-16 jet with a missile fired from his MiG-21 Bison in aerial takedown aftermath of India’s non-military airstrikes on terror sites in Balakot, Pakistan.
Following which he was forced to eject after his MiG-21 Bison was shot by Pakistan, landing him in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. He was captured by the Pakistan army and was beaten up, choked and tortured in the first 24 hours of captivity. But Pakistan released and handed him to India after that due to mounting international pressure.
Speaking of Wing Commander Abhinanadan, parody country Pakistan’s media had recently thought that PM Modi was talking about Wing Commander while addressing party workers after the 2019 victory because he said ‘abhinandan’ (congratulations) to them.
Pakistan cricket team has never won against India in the ICC cricket world and has been humiliated by the Indian cricket six times before. On Sunday, June 16th, the Indian side will be taking on Pakistan at Manchester.
