Pakistan shares inputs of a possible terror attack in Kashmir with India

According to Pakistani intelligence, terror groups want to death of several terrorist leaders in encounters with Indian security forces

Displaying an unexpected and unusual behaviour, Pakistan has shared inputs about a possible terror attack in Kashmir with India. In what appears as an attempt to improve its image after facing isolation on international post the Pulwama terror attack, Pakistan has given the information regarding a possible IED attack on a highway in South Kashmir to the National Security Advisor (NSA).

The country has informed that terrorist groups, especially Lashkar-eToiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad, want to avenge the death of some wanted terrorists, which includes the killing of Zakir Musa who was the commander of Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, the Indian affiliate of Al Qaeda, by the Indian security forces during anti-terror operations in Kashmir.

The inputs which have also been shared with the United States, warns that the terrorists might use an IED mounted vehicle in Awantipora town of Pulwama district. Security has been tightened and the State has been put on high alert in the wake of the warning. Surveillance and patrolling have been increases in the region.

It is being said that Pakistan shared the inputs regarding the possible terror attack with India to avoid blame in future and save its face before the international community.

Recently, a CRPF patrol team was attacked by terrorists on the KP road in Anantnag. The attack happened near the general bus stand at KP Chowk where terrorists opened fire at the security forces and hurled grenades. Three CRPF personnel were martyred and several others were injured in the attack. The responsibility for the terrorist attack was taken by Al-Umar Mujahideen (AUM) which is a frontal organisation of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).
