RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said that India is a land of Hindus and hence it is a Hindu Rashtra.

Addressing a meeting of intellectuals, RSS chief said that people think we progressed after the British came to India. It is incorrect. “We could have established a classless society in India even without the British intervention on basis of the Vedas,” he said.
Adding that the politics of India which changed after the second world war revealed the vested interest of various parties. They changed their tunes, otherwise, the fact is India is a country of Hindus and it is a Hindu Rashtra. “Hindu is not a name of any Puja or language or any region. It is a name of culture and it is a heritage for everyone who lives in India. It embraces and respects other cultures. Hence whenever any country stumbled, they came to India to know the truth. This land has welcome all and helped everyone grow. This has been our history.”
He further added that the Jews were roaming everywhere but only in India did they get refuge. “The Parsis and their places of worship are safe only in India. Muslims in India are the happiest than anywhere else in the world. Why is it so? Because we are Hindus. And hence ours is a Hindu Rashtra,” said RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
