Sandeep Nagar, the former district Vice-President of Hindu Yuva Vahini, and a resident of Atta Gujran in Dankore police station area of Greater Noida was found murdered by some unknown miscreants last night.
As the news spread the area became tense. The police reached the spot after receiving information, took the body in their possession and sent it for postmortem. The police opined that the preliminary investigations revealed that Nagar was murdered by someone known to him. Police said that the investigations were on and things would unfold soon.
According to the police, one of Sandeep’s cousins and one of his acquaintances had gone to his house to pick him up on Tuesday night. The next morning, Sandeep’ dead body was found lying a short distance away from his house. Sandeep’s body was tied and dumped there, said the police. Though the police are still not certain as to what was the motive behind the murder, it said that every aspect was being investigated. They have not yet ruled out the possibility of a political or personal conspiracy behind the crime.
According to the vitim’s father Veeru Nagar, one of Sandeep’s friends and their relative Rohit had borrowed Rs 10 lakhs from him some months ago and was reluctant to return it. On the night before the murder, Rohit and his friend Rinku Bhadana has come to meet Sandeep and had taken him away in an SUV, promising to return the money.
Veeru Nagar has named Rohit, his father Chaman and Rinku Bhadana in his complaint. Veeru had claimed that Rohit had planned the murder to avoid returning the borrowed sum.
The police confirmed that beer bottles were recovered from the crime scene. They also said that according to the investigations so far, it was confirmed that the murderer was not a stranger for Sandeep.
The district media incharge of the Hindu Yuva Vahini Harish Sharma met the police and demanded a speedy inquiry into the matter. The deceased Sandeep is said to be a good friend of the accused persons and also used to spend a lot of time with them, often for days. Meanwhile, an inspector from Dankaur police station, Akhilesh Pradhan confirmed that a case has been filed and police are investigating the matter.
