Karnataka CM assures legal action against ‘perverted minds’ posting derogative messages about the death of CDS General Bipin Rawat

The culprits who posted such perverted, derogatory tweets will be traced and legal action will be taken against them," Bommai said.

Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai on Friday issued a stern warning to those commenting disrespectfully of the CDS General Bipin Rawat, who was killed in a chopper crash on Wednesday, December 8 in Tamil Nadu. Bommai asserted that action will be taken against those who have put up offensive Tweets and social media posts about the tragic chopper crash.

The Karnataka CM Tweeted: “Offensive Tweets and Social Media posts about the tragic chopper crash in which we lost our #CDSGeneralBipinRawat will not be tolerated. I strongly condemn all such messages and have instructed our Police Officials to take strict disciplinary legal action against the offenders.”

He added in his subsequent Tweet: “They should be booked immediately as this is absolutely unpardonable.”

Karnataka CM vows legal action against ‘pervert minds’ posting objectionable posts against chopper crash

Speaking to the media after casting his vote for the council polls at Shiggaon, a municipal town in Haveri district, Karnataka, Bommai said: “I have directed the police chief (DG&IG) to initiate legal action against culprits who’ve made derogatory comments on social media on General Rawat’s death.

The Karnataka CM asserted those making such statements are “perverted”, and every person in the nation must condemn their actions. “This perversion cannot be tolerated. The culprits who posted such perverted, derogatory tweets will be traced and legal action will be taken against them,” he said.

Bommai added that he’d be visiting the Air Force Command Hospital in Bengaluru where the sole survivor of the IAF’s helicopter crash, Captain Varun Singh, is undergoing treatment.

Liberal jamaat celebrates the death of General Bipin Rawat

It is disturbing how, the moment the news of the death of India’s first Chief of Defence Staff broke, the regular coterie of ‘liberals’, Islamists and some anti-nationals scrambled out of their holes to rejoice the unfortunate death of the fallen soldier.

In fact, even before any official announcement of the demise of the CDS was made, the leftists started wishing for the death of the decorated officer. Many celebrated calling the death ‘good news’, while some opined that they would have been sad if Bipin Rawat survived. Ashlin Mathew, journalist and news editor of Congress party’s mouthpiece, posted a tweet saying ‘Divine Intervention’, which he deleted later.

Even at the time when there was no confirmation on the condition of the helicopter passengers or the number of injured or dead, Retd army man Lt Gen Panag shared a ‘RIP’ tweet for the CDS.

Among many instances of Islamists and anti-nationals celebrating the death of Bipin Rawat, Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Srinagar had suspended an employee named Afreen Hassan Naqash for making derogatory remarks on a social media platform after the tragic death of Bipin Rawat.

Likewise, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi had taken cognisance of a hateful Tweet by a student on General Rawat’s demise.

On December 9, the Jammu and Kashmir Police Thursday arrested a shopkeeper from a village near Rajouri for posting objectional content against Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat on social media.

Earlier, Rajasthan police arrested a 21-year-old Jawwad Khan from Tonk who made a social media post to celebrate the death of Rawat.
