Clicking a selfie with a public representative you elected could get you slapped! In a shocking incident, Karnataka Congress leader and Energy Minister DK Shivkumar was caught slapping a student who wanted to take a selfie with him.

Shivkumar was unapologetic about his behaviour and said even termed it a ‘normal incident’.

He was speaking to media at a college in Belgaum when a student standing behind him tried to take a selfie with his mobile phone. Shivkumar got agitated and suddenly hit the student on his arm. Following this the student lost control of his phone and it crashed on the ground. The student was then seen rushing to retrieve his mobile, while Shivakumar nonchalantly went back to addressing media. When confronted by media persons, Shivkumar termed this incident as normal and went back to talking to media persons as if nothing happened.
Shivkumar is not new to controversies. Earlier in August, income tax department raided his residence for alleged tax evasion. The IT department had also seized Rs. 10 crore during the raids conducted at his Delhi residence and other locations.
Earlier this month he and his family were questioned by the income tax officials over seized documents and related assets including jewellery, cash and other properties.
Shivkumar had also hosted the Gujarat MLAs who were whisked away from Gujarat in middle of one of the worst floods in Gujarat prior to Rajya Sabha election to save Ahmed Patel’s seat.
