Shia Wakf board chief asks Muslims opposing Ram Mandir to go to Pakistan

Wasim Rizvi the Shia Wakf Board chief on Friday stated that the Muslims who are opposed to Ram Mandir should go to Pakistan. He made this statement while offering Friday prayers at the disputed Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya. Apart from offering prayers, he also met Ram Janambhoomi’s head priest Acharya Satyendra Das.

While speaking to media persons at the occasion, he claimed that secularists have never been opposed to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He further stated that those opposed to the temple and want a Babri Masjid built should go to either Bangladesh or Pakistan. As per him, such fundamentalist Muslims have no place in India.

He said that Ayodhya is a sacred place for Hindus hence a Masjid should not be built there. To take things a step further, he stated that those wanting a Masjid there should join the forces of ISIS chief Abu Baqar Baghdadi.

This pro-Ram Manidr stance of Rizvi is in line with the Shia Wakf Board’s stance that Ram Mandir be constructed at the Janambhoomi area, while a Mosque be built in a Muslim dominated area that is at a reasonable distance from Lord Ram’s birth place.

This isn’t the only time Wasim Rizvi is in the news for his statements. It was reported how he implored PM Modi to shut down Madrasas by claiming that they are a breeding ground for terrorists. This angered a few radical Muslims who then proceeded to put a Rs 10 lakh bounty on his head for his statement.

Rizvi incidentally isn’t the only person batting for the Ram Mandir in recent days.

Yesterday media reported how Surya Kumar Shukla, Director General Homeguard, Uttar Pradesh, had publicly vowed to build the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya along with a few other. The senior IAS officer was quoted taking a pledge that, “We Ram-bhakts, today, as part of this programme, take this pledge that at the earliest, the Ram Mandir be constructed. Jai Shri Ram”.

This incident happened at an event on Ram Mandir organised at the Lucknow university. Apart from taking pledge to construct Ram Mandir, the attendees also raised slogans of “Jai Shri Ram”.
