An undated video of an allegedly Muslim mob beating up a burqa-clad woman for traveling with a Hindu man has gone viral on social media. The video is allegedly from near the Chirag High school in Vasna, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, where a mob confronts the duo and thrashes them.

In the video, a group of ruffians are seen assaulting a Muslim woman who tries to hide her face with the help of a burqa. However, the men forcibly removed her veil and threatened to share her video with her family.
“Shoot her video. Take her pictures, I will show them to her parents,” one of the assaulters is heard saying in the video.
Subsequently, the video pans to the Hindu man who was traveling with the Muslim woman. “Shoot his video as well. How dare he roams around with Muslim women,” an unidentified assaulter speaks in the video, even as the Hindu man gets slapped around.
Rising number of incidents of harassment of Muslim women travelling with Hindu men
Lately, many videos have surfaced in which Muslim mobs are seen chasing and stalking Muslim girls who are friends with Hindu men. A similar video surfaced in April this year from the Muslim-dominated Juhapura area of Ahmedabad in which Muslim youths were seen harassing a hijab-clad Muslim woman for talking to a Hindu youth.
In the viral video, some Muslim youths chase a young woman sitting behind a young man who is driving a two-wheeler vehicle. Later, the young Muslim woman is stopped by Muslims who harass the girl with abusive words as they preach to the girl to find friends within the same community rather than befriending any ‘kafir’.
Conspiracy underway in Vadodara to target women travelling with Hindu men
A conspiracy has surfaced in Gujarat’s city of Vadodara where Muslim mobs are targeting young Muslim women travelling with Hindu men. It’s important to note that some time ago, Vadodara’s police had exposed a network of Muslim youths who, upon encountering a Muslim girl with a Hindu boy anywhere in the city, would confront and intimidate them, and even produce videos with the intent of extorting their families. The police apprehended three individuals in connection with this incident: Mustakin, Najumiya, and Sahil Sheikh.
A few months back, a video from Vadodara had become widely circulated, showing a scenario in which a Hindu youth and a Muslim girl were seated at an ice cream parlour near the Akota Bridge in the city. During that moment, a group of youths approached them, causing a commotion, and even resorting to a physical assault on the young man. They grabbed his collar and struck his head. The entire incident was recorded on video, and this recording also gained significant attention online.
Recently, the Vadodara police noticed this video’s circulation. With the help of their informants, they investigated and uncovered another extensive network. In fact, the Muslim youth involved had been running a WhatsApp group where they kept tabs on Muslim girls interacting with Hindu boys. If they found any such instances, they would approach the couple, record videos, and then use these videos to blackmail them. They would even threaten to expose the videos to their families.
It’s concerning how such incidents are taking place, targeting young individuals based on their relationships and religious backgrounds. The police’s intervention is crucial in maintaining law and order and protecting the rights and safety of everyone involved.
