A social media user by the name Gary Shooter has threatened actor Salman Khan in a Facebook post. In the post, which was posted on a group called Sopu (Student organisation of Punjab University) group, Gary warns Salman that he can escape from Indian law, but not from the law of Bishnoi community.
The post carried Salman’s picture with a red cross along with the message: “Salman you may think that you are above the Indian law, but the Bishnoi community and Suopu party has given you a death sentence. You are guilty in Sopu court.”
Salman Khan who was convicted by a Jodhpur court in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case,on April 5, 2018, is scheduled to be present in Jodhpur Court on September 27 (Friday) in connection with the same. The court had mentioned that Salman Khan’s bail will be cancelled if he is not present in the court on that day.
Earlier in January 2018, a gangster named Lawrence Bishnoi of Rajasthan had issued a death threat to Salman Khan, saying the Bollywood actor will be killed in Jodhpur. “what we will do, will do it openly. Will kill film actor Salman Khan in Jodhpur. Then, they will get to know,” Lawrence Bishnoi had said.
The Bishnoi community in Rajasthan which is known to be fiercely protective of their natural heritage worships the blackbuck and had protested against the actor ever since his alleged involvement in the poaching case came to the fore. The blackbuck also known as Indian Antelope is the only existing member of the genus Antelope. In fact, the complaint against the actor was also registered by the Bishnoi community of the local area at that time.
Salman reportedly had shot and killed two blackbucks (chinkaras) in the Bhagoda ki Dhani village and the complaint against him was registered on 2nd October 1998. He was also accused of carrying firearms with expired licences.
The actor along with his co-actors, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu, were in the state for the shooting of the movie Hum Sath Sath Hain during that time. According to reports, the actor, along with his companions had allegedly fled leaving the dead animals behind after being chased by the villagers.
Salman was facing charges under section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act (1972) and other actors were charged under the provisions of law under section 149 (unlawful assembly) of the Indian Penal Code.
The greatest evidence that Multiculturalism has failed spectacularly came after the abrogation of Article 370. The spectacle that ensued around the world amply demonstrated the reasons why Multiculturalism could never work. It won’t be farfetched to claim that there was more opposition to the decision in the United Kingdom and the United States than in India, barring Kashmir.
Despite the numerous occasions on which the Left may claim ‘Diversity is our strength’, it is not if there is no common core. The reason why India’s diversity is a strength is our country is held together by invisible threads of Hinduism that bind us together. Hinduism is that common core that he West lacks. The modern West does not have the luxury of a common core. Therefore, we see it struggling under the weight of identity politics.
The identity politics was on display when Indians in London were attacked in front of the Indian Embassy while celebrating Independence Day. The mob was made of Pakistanis and Britishers of Pakistani heritage and Khalistanis. No amount of ‘Diversity is our strength’ placards could prevent the India-Pakistan enmity spilling out on the streets of London.
It is also starting to affect British politics. One Labour MP, Liam Byrne, condemned India’s decision to abrogate Article 370. Upon delving into the matter, we realized his constituency had a Muslim population of over 40% with a significant share of that with a Pakistani heritage. 20% of the constituency’s population doesn’t even speak English. Therefore, Byrne’s stance on Kashmir isn’t really a surprise.
The same phenomenon was observed in the USA. We have documented extensively how Muslims and Khalistanis from various countries protested against the ‘Howdy Modi’ event at Houston. They were accompanied by Khalistanis as well. 16 Mosques and a Gurudwara with ties to the Khalistani movement were used as pick up points to gather protesters for the event.
In the United States, too, identity politics over the abrogation of Article 370 affect the statements made by politicians. As was evident from the thousands and thousands of Indians at the stadium who cheered for the complete integration of Kashmir into the Indian Union, an overwhelming majority of Indians even in the United States were completely on board with the Indian government’s decision. The opposition primarily, once again, came from Muslims and Khalistanis.
Bernie Sanders issued sermons on the matter and called Narendra Modi an authoritarian accusing him of suppressing the human rights of Kashmiris. There’s a good reason for his actions. Islamists are a core vote-bank of the Democrats. Bernie made comments against India’s decision to abrogate Article 370 at an event organized by a group that has close ties with Islamic terrorists. Therefore, his stance on the matter is no real surprise at all.
Ilhan Omar, an anti-semite who allegedly married her brother while committing immigration fraud, spoke out against India as well. And that too has to do with her vote-bank although in her case, her own opinions certainly contributed to it.
Narendra Modi was pushed into a situation where he was forced to heap praises on US President Donald Trump who has supported India’s stand on the matter. Now, there’s a very good chance that more Indian-Americans, who have traditionally voted for Democrats, will vote Republican going forward. If ‘Diversity’ was actually the West’s strength, then why are faultlines that exist within Indian society affecting US politics?
Not just the USA and the UK but even Canada’s politics is being influenced by Indian faultlines. On numerous occasions, the Indian government has expressed concerns regarding Khalistanis thriving in the country. Of course, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shot himself in the foot when he invited a convicted Khalistani terrorist to an event during his trip to India. All of us remember how that trip went, he was humiliated at every turn by the Indian government and rightly so.
With Multiculturalism, the West has imported faultlines that exist elsewhere in the world within its own borders. Battles that have traditionally been fought in India and Pakistan are now being fought in the West. If that is not sufficient evidence of the monumental failure multiculturalism is, then I don’t know what is.
Of course, the evidence of Multiculturalism being a failure started pouring in decades ago. When Muslim grooming gangs started racially targeting little white children in the United Kingdom for sexual exploitation, then moved on to Sikh girls, the alarm bells should have started ringing. When entire Pakistani Muslim communities were perfectly aware of the atrocities that were being perpetrated and yet engaged in a conspiracy of silence, the alarm bells should have definitely started ringing.
When British politicians and even the Police conspired to hush up the entire series of crimes for fear of being labelled Islamophobic, that is when the West should have known that Multiculturalism has failed in epic proportions. There’s a reason why London has acquired the reputation of being ‘Londonistan’. Londonistan, like Rome, was not created in a day. It happened over years, decades.
And now, here we are, where Muslims and Khalistanis in the West attack the Indian Embassy in London during a protest which was attended by British politicians. The West in its effort to create Diversity without putting in enough effort to create a common core has resulted in ever-increasing faultlines that threaten to tear their country apart.
The West may still have a chance of avoiding certain doom. Due to their obsession with Diversity, they have sacrificed little children at the altar of Multiculturalism. It’s time they invest a little effort into developing a common core. Maybe they could learn a thing or two from Indians in that respect.
Former Union Minister P Chidambaram, who spent his birthday on 16th September inside Tihar Jail, received a surprise greeting from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion. The senior Congress leader’s Twitter handle, which is being operated by his family members, informed that PM Modi wished him on his 74th birthday by sending a letter to him.
The letter, written in Tamil, was sent to Chidambaram’s village address in Tamil Nadu, which in turn forwarded to him in Tihar Jail, which explains the delay of one week in receiving the letter.
I have asked my family to tweet on my behalf the following:
Dear Mr. Prime Minister Modi @narendramodi@PMOIndia,
Pleasantly surprised to receive your greetings on my birthday (sent to my village address and forwarded to me) pic.twitter.com/kN381qpFyV
The message of Modi in the letter roughly translates to, ‘I take pleasure in wishing you hearty congratulations on your birthday. I wish the almighty to bless you with good health and happiness and let you serve the people forever like you do today’.
Chidambaram said that he was pleasantly surprised to receive the greetings from Modi. The tweet posted on behalf of P Chidambaram said, Dear Mr. Prime Minister Modi, pleasantly surprised to receive your greetings on my birthday (sent to my village address and forwarded to me).
Chidambaram also tweeted, “as you have wished, I want to continue to serve the people. Unfortunately, your investigating agencies have prevented me from doing so”. In another tweet he said, “Once the present harassment ends, I shall be back among the people that both you and I are committed to serve.”
The former finance minister tweeted the messages both in English and Tamil. He is currently lodged in Tihar Jail after he was sent to judicial custody by a special CBI court in Delhi in the INX media case.
In a deplorable act, a 15-year-old minor Dalit girl was allegedly gang-raped and filmed by three men in Ghosia village of Kaushambi district that falls under Saray Akil police station, near Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh.
In a video of the gang-rape that has gone viral, the girl can reportedly be heard saying, “Allah ki kasam, mere saath mat karo (for Allah’s sake, don’t do this with me).” Amidst screams and desperate cries, the helpless girl kept begging for mercy. However, the brutes refused to spare her. As per reports, the villagers nearby rush to the spot after hearing the victim wailing and screaming.
The victim had reportedly gone to an adjoining village to get some grass from the field in Ghosia at around 1.30 pm on September 21 when three men, namely, Nazik, son of Ubaire Ulla of Ghosia village, Adil alias Chotu, son of Ismail and an unknown youth, nabbed her and pulled her into a field where they gang-raped her and filmed her. In a video accessed, the two men can be seen raping the girl in turns while one of them is recording the act.
According to media reports, when the father of the girl went to the police station to report the crime, the police thrashed him instead. The girl can be seen saying how she was pushed into the field and raped brutally. “Muslim,” she says when asked who were the perpetrators. In the video, the father of the girl says, “Three men raped my daughter, hence I went to the police station to file a report. There I was beaten up,” the father said. Angered over police apathy, the villagers reached the police station to stage a protest. Eventually, the police registered a case against all three accused.
While they managed to catch Nazik and handed him over to the police after beating him up fiercely, Adil and the unknown miscreant managed to flee the spot.
According to Kaushambi’s superintendent of police, Pradeep Gupta, a first information report (FIR) (314/2019) has been filed under sections 76 (rape), 376 D (rape by one or more persons), 354 (assault or criminal force to outrage modesty of a woman), 506 (criminal intimidation), 286 (negligent conduct with respect to explosive substance), sections 3 and 4 of Protection of children from sexual offences or POCSO Act, section of Criminal Law Amendment Act, and various sections of SC/ST Act, against the three accused.
Reports say that the police have acquired the entire video of the crime on one of the accused, Nazik’s mobile phone and the police are now in the lookout for the two accused who are absconding.
The SP confirmed that Ghosia village remained tensed as the incident involved two different communities. He has assured strict action against the accused. The National Scheduled Castes Commission has also taken suo moto cognizance of the case. The two policemen who allegedly misbehaved with the victim’s father have been sent to police lines while an inquiry has been initiated against station house incharge. An SIT has been formed to look for the accused and a reward of Rs 25,000 has been announced on them. The victim has been given a compensation of Rs 4 lakh.
A first-year BCom student studying in a college in Sikar, Rajasthan, has filed a complaint at Udyog Nagar police station in Sikar alleging that a man named Asif, hailing from Khirod, a village in Nawalgarh Tehsil in Jhunjhunu District of Rajasthan, had pretended to be a Hindu, then gang-raped her along with his freinds after abducting her.
Asif, who had allegedly introduced himself as Suresh to the girl first befriended her then took her to a hotel room where he intoxicated her and later gang-raped her. He also videographed the entire incident. Asif started blackmailing the Hindu girl on the pretext of the 66 videos he had filmed of the alleged gang-rape.
The girl revealed that she had met Asif aka Suresh on the bus, which she used every day to commute from her village to her college. He had introduced himself as Suresh Kumar. They were casual friends, recalled the victim.
As per the girl’s complaint, one day Asif had called her up and asked her to meet him near a petrol pump in Sikar. When the victim reached the petrol pump Asif who was accompanied by a woman and a few other men, forcefully pulled her into a white Bolero car. They then forcefully took her to a hotel on the bypass, where Asif and his friends intoxicated her by giving her some pills and then raped her. Asif filmed the entire incident on the basis of which he started blackmailing the victim.
The woman named Supyaar, who had accompanied Asif, had also allegedly threatened the victim. She reportedly called up the victim twice and threatened her that if she did not give money, she would come to the victim’s house and show the video to her family. The accused and his gang then extracted Rs 25,000 from the victim threatening to share the rape videos.
The Udyog Nagar police station officer Virendra Sharma said that a case has been filed on the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim and investigation has begun.
The shocking case of rape and forced religious conversion through ‘Love Jihad’ in Kerala has triggered massive outrage across the country leading to Vice-Chairman of the National Commission of Minorities (NCM) writing a concerned letter to the Union Home Minister.
A 19-year-old Christian girl in Kerala was allegedly forced to convert to Islam after being raped and blackmailed. The victim’s parents had filed a case with the Nadakavu police station against 19-year-old Jasim, who was reportedly her classmate at a coaching centre in Kozhikode.
According to the complaint made by the victim’s father, the victim along with her two friends had visited Sarovaram Bio Theme Park in the city on July 7, where they had met Jasim accidentally. The 19-year old Christian girl was later drugged and sexually abused in a building in the park. The father of the victim alleged that Jasim recorded videos of the act.
Later, Jasim allegedly blackmailed her with the videos and forced her to convert to Islam. He also threatened the Christian girl of leaking the videos on social media, according to the police complaint. The parents have also accused the police of shielding the accused as investigation lagged for more than a month without any progress.
As police investigation was delayed, the victim’s parents had lodged their complaints with National Minority Commission (NMC), following which National Minority Vice Chairman George Kurian wrote to Home Minister Amit Shah requesting National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) intervention on the complaint.
In a similar case, a Malayali Christian girl from Delhi was allegedly abducted and taken to a West Asian country by one Mohammad Siddiqui. The parents of the girl had expressed their fear that their daughter ‘ould have been brainwashed and abducted and led astray with very nefarious designs like joining an outfit such as IS or being used as a slave.
In the letter written by NCM vice-chairman to Amit Shah, he had reportedly urged the Home Ministry to “take note of this alarming trend and order a probe by the National Investigative Agency” and bring in an effective law to curb such fraudulent activities of radicalised elements.
NMC Vice Chairman George Kurian and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took up the matter and organised a protest march towards Kozhikode Commissioner’s office on September 23. Kurian pointed out that Love Jihad is very much active in Kerala and the ruling CPI(M) led-government is shielding the accused.
When I first heard of the Howdy Modi program, I thought the organizers were a bit overambitious in closing a venue that can seat more than 50,000 people. This was after all a concert venue for Beyonce, The Rolling Stones, Metallica, Taylor Swift among others. It can seat more than twice that of Wankhede stadium.
There was obviously a lot of build-up to this event and why not? In many ways, this was unprecedented in America. Some commentators were saying that Indian Americans are taking a big risk by attracting attention for the wrong reasons. The general MO of most Indian Americans is to put their head down and work. In contrast, other communities are much better at organizing politically, in particular, the Muslim community. I find some of these arguments absurd. It’s a country where lobbying is the norm. Raising your voice is the norm. Demanding your rights is the norm. Expressing yourself openly is the norm. And here, we are being asked to lie low, don’t even welcome the Indian PM.
There was a lot of talk of thousands of protestors showing up at the event. This quickly brought back memories of what happened at the Indian high commission in London, where Pakistani hooligans did all kinds of damage. Policing works differently in America. Trump’s presence at the event obviously increased security. They were not going to take any chances. They created a large section for the protestors away from the stadium. I noticed a handful of protestors as I walked into the stadium.
While some democrats pulled out because of Trump’s presence, there was a decent representation. Jr. Senator from Texas, Ted Cruz, delivered a crisp and good speech. This was followed by Sr. Senator John Cornyn. It’s worth noting that he co-founded and became the co-chairman of the U.S. Senate India Caucus in 2004. Senator Cornyn had the honour of introducing Prime Minister Modi to the crowd and the reception he got from the crowd was something. House majority leader, Steny Hoyer, a Democrat currently serving his 20th term in Congress gave some remarks which seemed a bit like a sermon. It was carefully worded but it was weird for him to be quoting Gandhi and Nehru to an Indian audience. That speech didn’t land well.
Then there was a long pause, most likely due to Trump getting delayed. The crowd went to sleep.
Then came Trump. PM Modi’s introduction of Trump was again carefully crafted. Everyone knows that he likes praise and he got lots of it. However, if you listen carefully, Modi was repeating many obvious things which we have heard before. There were some who thought Modi endorsed Trump when he said Abki Bar Trump Sarkar. See the video again and notice that Modi was just talking about the 2016 campaign. There was a lot of hyperbole but there was no explicit endorsement of Trump. Modi is too seasoned a politician to know which lines not to cross. The loudest cheer in the stadium probably was when Modi said to Trump “My honour to introduce you to my family” Modi woke up the sleeping crowd. And Trump loved it. He hasn’t seen a rally as big as this. And he got a standing ovation when he talked about eradicating radical Islamic terror. For the most part he stuck to the teleprompter, where he is not his natural self. The only time he went off script was when he asked if Modi would invite him to the inaugural NBA game in Mumbai. That might just be the cue Indian Govt was looking for to invite him to be the chief guest at the next Republic Day.
When Modi rose to speak, he was speaking to an audience that was hungry, both in terms of food and his words. The crowd had gathered around 6 AM at the stadium and Modi spoke close to 1 PM local time.
His opening remarks worked like a charm. Many saw his “Sab Accha hai” remark in multiple languages as a response to complaints of Hindi imposition. Maybe they were but my own sense was that Modi knows his crowd better than any politician. He knows that the Indian American community is quite diverse. He was working for the crowd. There were many people from southern states. When he said “Ella Chennagide”, the Kannadigas around me went berserk.
While he spoke extempore, this was relatively a more carefully worded speech. There was something for everyone: Trump, Republicans, Democrats Corporate America, American media and of course the audience in America and in India. The stakes were high. While the applause tore the roof when he mentioned 370, he made several remarks that were directed at Democrats and American media. He talked about the long debate in the parliament and how it was telecast live on TV. He stressed the 2/3rds majority for the abrogation of 370 and in particular the fact that his party didn’t even have a simple majority in the upper house. The next day, the New York Times carried a piece that included this information.
I was struck by how little Modi was conscious of Trump’s presence. He mentioned Trump several times but he never seemed restricted one bit by Trump’s presence. He owned the room. His statement on Pakistan, without mentioning Pakistan was a major highlight. Shekhar Gupta in his analysis concluded that this would’ve been cleared with the Trumps administration before but that doesn’t seem to be the case. The next day Trump in Imran Khan’s presence said “I heard a very aggressive statement from PM Modi. I was not expecting to hear that statement” This didn’t seem like a speech that was pre-approved by the Trump administration.
To me, one of the more interesting moments was when Modi was talking about who was responsible for the 2019 victory. He said it’s the people and Modi alone is nothing. The crowd’s response was more like “Yeah Right” They didn’t buy it.
At the end, the suggested that they take a lap around the stadium, sending secret service into a tizzy. If you carefully notice, the secret service never got the crowd too close. No one was in touching distance unlike in India, where PM Modi often shakes hands with the crowd. This was obviously spontaneous and a perfect way to close the event. Trump and Modi waving at the crowd hand in hand is a powerful statement. This could be seen as an endorsement to Trump. It could also be a statement to Democrats that look, I can do this for anyone I chose to. While an overwhelming majority of Indian Americans supported democrats in the past, things could change. There is a good reason why Indian Americans support democrats. One important reason is lack of choice: Indians tend to be in the coasts: New York, New Jersey, California which are blue states. Texas is a red state and during my earlier interactions, I could sense a lot more support from Trump among the Indian community here as compared to other states. Democratic leadership is being pushed to the left and towards Islamic ideology. In some states, Indian Americans may not be a big force in terms of votes, but they are a big force when it comes to notes. At $110,000 median Indian Americans median household income is the highest in the United States. This is what parties and candidates are after and the way Modi worked the crowd sends out a strong message that he can influence both votes and notes.
To say that this event was totally unprecedented would be wrong. The then British PM David Cameron did show up at Wembley along with PM Modi but needless to say, Howdy Modi was much more significant. And a tough act to follow. I find it hard to imagine another leader from India who could pull off such an event as PM Modi could.
The Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) will be reintroduced in the Parliament in November, Assam Finance, Health and PWD Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Monday. Furthermore, he said that a new NRC will be prepared under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
On his one day visit to Silchar as part of the Rashtriya Ekta Abhiyan, Sarma said, “If no more hurdles come in the way, then CAB will be passed in November.” He added, “we would pass this bill in all likelihood by November next. But all parties would be taken into confidence for the same, especially those from the Northeast to safeguard their cultural and linguistic rights.”
Reiterating his stand on NRC, Sarma said, “Let there be a case in the Supreme Court and we will say that BJP rejects this NRC. We do not believe in this NRC. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah there will be another NRC. Those laughing now will cry for sure. A law will also be passed to grant citizenship to those who came to India due to religious persecution.”
The NRC was not what was expected, Sarma confirmed. He said, “The National Register of Citizens (NRC) is not what we expected. BJP does not want any confrontation or chaos over the CAB. Despite massive protests and agitation, the BJP has been able to win 99 per cent votes across Assam in the Lok Sabha election. There will be another comprehensive NRC after we come up with the CAB with the consent of all stakeholders.”
Himanta Biswa Sarma further stated, “We have held public meetings to explain to the people that all the interests and existing legal provisions in the northeast region for the benefit of the indigenous people will be protected. We respect the inner line permit (ILP) system, Sixth Schedule provisions.” “We need a bill… cannot allow infiltration to continue. So we need a bill to stop this,” the North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convenor added.
Sarma also assuaged the concerns of the Assamese community regarding the Citizenship Amendment Bill. “People must not think that the bill is against the interest of their culture, language and heritage but that they are giving shelter to unfortunate people,” the minister said. “That is why the government will table CAB in Parliament in November this year to grant Indian citizenship to everyone, including Bengali Hindus as well as Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs and Jains who came to the country before 2014 and consider India their motherland,” he said.
The architect of the BJP’s rise in the Northeast, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that linguistic nationalism is the most dangerous threat that Assam faces. He said, “Language must remain but the most dangerous problem for Assam is language-based nationalism. Assamese are never against Bengalis.”
There has been a lot of anguish over the final NRC where huge numbers of Bengali Hindus were left out of the list whereas regions of the state that have undergone a tectonic demographic shift due to illegal Muslim immigration from Bangladesh have not reported illegals in any significant number. Too many people feel betrayed with the NRC and Sarma has been saying since then that the NRC did not work out in the manner it was supposed to work. The state government was aware of the issues with NRC, and had asked the Supreme Court for reverification, but the apex court didn’t accept that.
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh took to Twitter to slam Pakistan for using drones to deliver weapons and communication devices into India and urged HM Amit Shah to take quick action against Pakistan’s new nefarious tactics to disrupt peace in India.
He said that the drone incidents were a new and serious dimension on Pakistan’s “sinister designs” following the scrapping of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Recent incidents of Pakistan-origin drones dropping consignments of arms & ammunition is a new and serious dimension on Pakistan’s sinister designs in aftermath of the abrogation of Article 370. Request @AmitShahji to ensure that this drone problem is handled at the earliest,” said Punjab CM in his Tweet.
Recent incidents of Pakistan-origin drones dropping consignments of arms & ammunition is a new and serious dimension on Pakistan’s sinister designs in aftermath of the abrogation of Article 370. Request @AmitShah ji to ensure that this drone problem is handled at the earliest.
Captain Amarinder Singh’s Tweet came two days after Punjab police had exposed a recent terror module of the revived Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF), backed by a Pakistan and Germany based terror group that was devising a series of terror strikes in Punjab and other adjoining states.
The Punjab Police had in a Facebook post revealed that they had seized a huge cache of arms including five AK-47 rifles (along with 16 magazines and 472 rounds of ammunition), four China-made 0.30 bore pistols (along with 8 magazines and 72 rounds of ammunition), nine hand grenades, five Thuraya satellite phones along with their ancillary equipment, two mobile phones, two wireless sets, and Rs 10 lakh fake Indian currency notes.
Initial investigations had revealed the use of drones to deliver weapons and communication hardware from Pakistan to Taran Taran.
Following the development, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has decided to transfer the case to NIA for further investigation.
“Module was conspiring to unleash series of terror strikes in Punjab and/or adjoining states. Police seized huge cache of arms including 5 AK-47 rifles, pistols, satellite phones and hand grenades. Further investigations in the case handed over to NIA,” said a statement released by the Punjab CMO.
Punjab CM had requested the central government to direct the Indian Air Force (IAF) and Border Security Force (BSF) to launch necessary counter-measures to check for any possible threats.
The IAF and BSF have already launched counter-measures to check any further threat from drones to the border state of Punjab.
DGP Dinkar Gupta said the weapons may have been delivered recently across the Indo-Pak border from Pakistan using drones launched by the Pak ISI with local Pakistani terrorists and pro-Khalistani terrorist outfits working under its command.
The 4 members of the terrorist module, namely, Balwant Singh alias Baba and Nihang, Akashdeep Singh alias Akash Randhawa, Harbhajan Singh, and Balbir Singh were arrested from the outskirts of village Chohla Sahib in Tarn Taran on Sunday.
Confirming the reports here on Sunday, DGP Dinkar Gupta said the module was backed by Pakistan-based chief of KZF, Ranjeet Singh alias Neeta, and his Germany-based associate Gurmeet Singh alias Bagga and Doctor, who had re-organized their terrorist group to revive terrorism in Punjab.
Rattled by the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir, Pakistan has been trying several techniques to disrupt peace in the Valley and adjoining states. Besides trying to push terrorist through the border area, Pakistan has been spreading fake and malicious news to create an atmosphere of panic in the Valley, but sadly for the terror state, each of its attempts is being successfully thwarted by India.
