Muzaffarnagar: A minor Dalit girl gang raped, filmed, threatened, Sabur, Umama Farid, Danish and Maj arrested

A 17-year-old minor Dalit girl was allegedly gang-raped by five men in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district. The accused had even reportedly filmed a video and threatened to make it public if the girl reported the matter to anyone. The five accused, Danish, Farid, Umama, Maj and Sabur were arrested by the police.

As per reports, the incident took place on February 21 in a village in Ratenpuri, Muzaffarnagar. The girl had gone to the forest at around 7 pm. There, the girl was allegedly gang-raped on gunpoint by the five accused and even filmed it. After the rape, they threatened the girl with dire consequences and death before escaping. The accused then reportedly shared the video clip which then went viral on social media.

On Sunday, March 17, after the video recording had gone viral, the girl and her family reached the police station to file a complaint. Her brother filed a complaint against the five accused, of which three, Umama, Farid and Sabur were arrested on Sunday night. The remaining two accused were also later arrested.

The Police has recovered a country-made pistol and cartridges. All five accused are now sent to jail.

Election time is like picnic for the Gandhi family: BJP downplays Priyanka’s ‘boat yatra’

Hitting out on Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s chaotic Ganga Yatra, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said that the election time is like a picnic for the Gandhi family. “Had it been old times, they (Gandhi family) would have been called a ‘Raj gharana’ (royalty). They come during elections, have a picnic, go back and return after five years.” he said.

Adding that the ‘boat yatra’ which she started yesterday from Prayagraj is “only for the votes”, he said that Congress allies had pointed out the flaws and shortcomings in the boat yatra already. After the elections, the Gandhi family heads for Switzerland or Italy, he added.

As part of campaigning for Lok Sabha elections, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra undertook a boat ride on the river Ganga from Prayagraj to Varanasi. She kicked off her election campaign in Uttar Pradesh, more than 50 days after she was officially inducted into the party, by offering prayers at Hanuman temple near the Sangam in Prayagraj which was followed by the three-day boat ride from Prayagraj to Varanasi.

Downplaying Priyanka’s election campaign, Sharma further added that as soon as a new election is announced, a new member of the Gandhi family “emerges and assumes magical leadership”. He said that even though Priyanka has earlier campaigned for Congress in previous elections, Congress had suffered defeats.

Goa assembly speaker Pramod Sawant to be next Chief Minister of the state

Following the demise of Goa Chief Minister and former Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar last evening, Dr Pramod Sawant will be swearing-in as the next Goa Chief Minister. BJP national secretary P Muralidhar Rao announced the decision on Twitter around midnight on 18th March.

According to reports, BJP ally Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party’s (MGP) Sudin Dhavalikar and Goa Forward Party’s (GFP) Vijai Sardesai will be the deputy chief ministers. The swearing-in was scheduled to be held at 11 PM on 18th March, but that had to be postponed as the discussions among the coalition parties, which was led by union minister Nitin Gadkari, went on till late in the night. Now the new government of Goa will take oath on 19th March.

Name of Pramod Sawant took a while to come out, as other names like North Goa MP Shripad Naik, Rajya Sabha MP and state BJP President Vinay Tendulkar and state health minister Vishawajit Rane were doing rounds. BJP, according to reports, initially was deliberating on the name of Vinay Dinu Tendulkar, as there were demands from alliance not to make an incumbent MLA, the next CM of Goa.

Pramod Sawant represents Sanquelim constituency, since 2012, from Central Goa. In 2017 Goa assembly elections he had defeated Congress candidate Dharmesh Saglani, with a margin of around 2100 votes. He is an Ayurveda Practioner by profession. When CM Manohar Parikkar was bedridden, Sawant was tasked with attending public functions on his behalf.

The Goa Assembly has the full strength of 40, which has been reduced to 36 after the death of CM Manohar Parikkar and Francis D’Souza, and the resignation of two Congress MLAs. The majority mark currently at 19. Congress has 14 MLAs, and it is supported by NCP which has 1 MLA. On the other hand, BJP has 12 MLAs, and it has supports of GFP and MGP which have 3 MLAs each, and 3 Independents, thus the total tally coming to 21.

Karnataka: Police arrest techies for chanting Pro-Modi slogans at Rahul Gandhi event in Bengaluru

In a shocking incident at Bengaluru, Congress supporters attacked the techies present at the Manyata Tech Park after they chanted Pro-Modi slogans when Congress President Rahul Gandhi arrived at the spot. Shockingly, the Karnataka Police aided Congress workers by lathi-charging the techies for chanting pro-Modi slogans.

According to the reports, Congress President Rahul Gandhi had visited Manyata Tech Park, Bengaluru to interact with young entrepreneurs. However, many techies and the entrepreneurs present at the spot began to chant ‘Modi-Modi’, which led to huge embarrassment to Congress President Gandhi and his party workers.

They also chanted ‘Pappu go back’ slogans.

As pro-Modi chants began to increase, the agitated Congress workers began to attack the people present at the event. The police officers who were supposed to act to save the techies from being attacked by the Congress ‘goons’ not only remained silent but also unleashed its force against them for chanting pro-Modi slogans.

Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had addressed a rally in Kalaburagi in Karnataka, wherein he continued his attack on PM Narendra Modi and the BJP-led NDA government. In the event, B Narayan Rao, an MLA from Basavakalyan in Bidar district, referred to PM Modi as ‘namard (impotent)’ in the presence of his party chief and many senior leaders.

Karnataka has 28 Lok Sabha seats. The state will vote for the Lok Sabha elections in two phases. Polling for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections will be held in the state on April 18 and April 23.

The Congress-JDS coalition in Karnataka has finally agreed to a seat-sharing plan for the 28 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state ahead of the 2019 general elections. On Wednesday, the coalition announced a seat-sharing agreement. The JDS is set to contest in eight of the 8 Lok Sabha seats while Congress will field candidates in 20 seats.

Rebuffed by Congress indecision, AAP now rubbishes any possibility of alliance with the party

After doggedly pursuing Congress to form an alliance to fight the upcoming Lok Sabha elections jointly and with senior AAP leaders including its chief Arvind Kejriwal’s repeated requests to Congress on forming a coalition, the Aam Aadmi Party on Monday declared that Congress has taken too long to deliberate on the alliance and the offer to fight jointly now stands cancelled.

Eliminating any possibility of an alliance between AAP and Congress, Gopal Rai, the convener of Delhi unit of AAP (AAP) told reporters that there is no possibility of an alliance with Congress since candidates for all seven seats in Delhi are now declared. The party will not roll back its candidates, so there is no scope for a coalition, he said.

Gopal Rai further added that they have arrived at the conclusion that Congress is not serious about Delhi. He contended that in the states where Congress is serious, they are putting their efforts but the same cannot be told about Delhi. AAP had declared its seventh candidate on Sunday. The candidates for the other six seats were already announced.

On the question of an initiative to negotiate on behalf of the Congress, he said that there is no scope now. Delhi is going to the polls on May 12 for all its 7 seats. The party is unable to arrive at any conclusion due to lack of general consensus about the alliance with the AAP among the Congress leadership. Congress state president Sheila Dikshit has summarily rejected any possibility of the alliance, while other leaders, including former state president Ajay Maken, are advocating for a coalition.

Senior AAP leaders including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been continuously requesting to the Congress leadership for forming an alliance in Delhi and fighting the elections jointly. However, the Delhi unit of Congress has been ambiguous about the alliance with many leaders opposing a coalition with AAP. As a consequence, Congress has chosen not to respond to the desperate entreaties made by Arvind Kejriwal, forcing AAP to fight on its own.

Aaj Tak channel spots lone anti-BJP voice in a crowd in viral video, uses him in multiple shows to attack BJP

It is longer a secret that most media houses are just propaganda tools of political parties, and reporting events as they happen is no longer their primary job. We have seen multiple examples of journalists tutoring general public telling them what to say, what to do etc. They also selectively pick people to talk on various topics to build a narrative.

Such a practise undertaken by the Aaj Tak channel has been spotted by alert Social Media users, where it is seen that the channel is using the same person in various programs and events for talking against BJP. That young man is not a fan of Narendra Modi, and he seems to be favourite of the Hindi news channel for giving anti-Modi bites.

In the following video, the unidentified man is seen making a racist comment while countering the Main Bhi Chowkidar campaign launched by PM Narendra Modi. He says, we can bring cheap and better chowkidar from Nepal, but the country needs a Prime Minister.

In another program of Aaj Tak channel, the same man, who identifies himself as Mohit Sharma, is seeing arguing with Baba Ramdev, saying that Ramdev should live in mountains and he should not do politics. When Ramdev asks him to answer in which religious book it is written that sanyasis should live in mountains, he does not have an answer and he avoids the question by counter-questioning.

It seems that Aaj Tak channel had specifically picked him for his strong anti-BJP views, as in another video published last month, this same young man is seen in a very heated argument with several people in an outdoor location. In a crowd of around 30-40 young people, he seems to be the only one supporting the Congress party, and everyone else was countering him.

There were dozens of people supporting BJP in that video posted by a Youtube channel named Shining India, but Aaj Tak chose to pick up the lone Congress supporter and used him in their multiple programs to attack BJP. This points towards the possibility that TV news channels are finding it very hard to find anti-BJP voices to ‘balance’ their shows, and they are having to scout for few remaining vocal people who still support the Congress party.

London Court issues arrest warrant against fugitive Nirav Modi based on India’s request for extradition

0

A court in the UK has issued an arrest warrant issued against Nirav Modi, who is wanted in India for a bank fraud case. According to reports, Westminster Magistrate Court in London has issued the warrant against the fugitive businessman.

Recently media had tracked Nirav Modi in London, who reportedly lives in a luxury 8 million pound apartment in west London, and currently deals in diamond business. The Indian government was aware of his presence in the UK, and ED had already requested the UK government for extradition in July 2018. The UK government had found the Nirav Modi case fit for extradition, and the request was sent by UK Central Authority of Home Office to the Westminster Magistrate Court for further proceedings.

The Westminster Court has issued the arrest warrant against Nirav Modi as part of processing this extradition request. He has been ordered to be produced before the court on 25th March. After the issue of the warrant, Nirav Modi is expected to be arrested by London police soon. The warrant is provisional, and he is entitled to obtain bail.

Nirav Modi, his wife Ami Modi, brother Nishal Modi, and uncle Mehul Choksi are accused defrauding Punjab National Bank to the tune of Rs 14,356 crore by obtaining Letter of Undertaking without furnishing any guarantee. Mehul Choksi is living in Antigua, having taken citizenship of the country.

‘Borrowing from ISIS playbook’: Into the mind of the Christchurch terrorist

In a terrible terrorist attack in New Zealand, two terrorists opened fire at two mosques which resulted in the death of about 40 people thus far and injured many others. The mass shootings took place at the Al Noor Mosque next to Hagley Park and another at the Linwood Mosque in the suburb of Linwood.

One of the terrorists, Brenton Tarrant, has also published a ‘manifesto’ of sorts in a Q&A format where he outlines his worldview and provides the reasons for his actions he would commit shortly afterwards. The document provides a glimpse into the chaos and turmoil that has engulfed predominantly White countries of the world and only goes on to show that for these countries, the dark days are from over.

Certain people have used the terror attack and the document to malign Hindu organizations. A certain Director of a Think Tank insinuated in his article that the RSS and Indian media may have radicalized the New Zealand terrorist.

Others have drawn parallels with the ideological positions advocated by the terrorist in his document with Hindutva.

At a time when such blatant misinformation is being spread, it becomes of paramount importance to actually report authentically on the ideology advocated by the terrorist and what he represents.

The manifesto, titled ‘The Great Replacement’, begins with Dylan Thomas’ famous poem ‘Do not go gentle into that good night’. From his articulation, it’s quite clear that Tarrant is much like his Islamic counterparts. He is educated, has great concerns for society and the direction it’s headed in, has spent a lot of time thinking through his actions, firmly believes that the governments of Western countries have wronged him and his community, that Liberalism leads to a decay in society which is evil and that Violence is the only solution. The only difference between him and an Islamic terrorist is that race is the foundation of his worldview while for the latter, it’s his religion.

Tarrant describes himself as “just a regular White man, from a regular family” who “decided to take a stand to ensure a future for my people.” While he never went to University, he says he worked for a while before investing in Bitconnect and then used the money he had earned to travel.

As to why he carried out the attack, Tarrant gives many reasons making it abundantly clear that he sees the mass migration of Muslims into western countries as an existential threat. He claims his attack is an act of revenge against the many “European lives” that have been lost to terror attacks by Islamic terrorists. He believes that terror attacks by Whites could reduce immigration to Western countries. He sees the mass migrations of Muslims into the West as an invasion and he calls them invaders.

Another similarity that Tarrant has with his Islamic counterparts is his disapproval of the USA’s projection of global power. He hopes for balkanization of the United States over the great disagreement between the Republicans and the Democrats over the 2nd Amendment which gives American citizens the Right to bear firearms. He believes that accelerating this divide and an attempt to seize firearms forcibly will result in a civil war along social, cultural, political and racial lines. He says that the balkanization of the US will reduce its ability to project power globally and end the multicultural “pipe dream”. He further accuses the US of fighting beside “Islamic occupiers” in Kosovo and slaughtered Christian Europeans “attempting to remove them”.

A reason for the terrorist attack he committed, Tarrant says, is to further polarize Western society “in order to eventually destroy the current nihilistic, hedonistic, individualistic insanity that has taken control of Western thought.” He quite obviously refers to Progressivism that has gripped the West. It is made abundantly clear in the first lines of the introduction to the document where he says “It’s the birthrates.”

Tarrant’s spiral towards terrorism occurred over the course of two years. One particular personal event that threw him off the edge was the death of a little girl in the terrorist attack in Stockholm in April 2017. He says in contrast with previous incidents of terrorism where cynicism was his reaction to them, this time there was something different in the manner he reacted and that he could ‘no longer turn his back to violence’. “That difference was Ebba Akerlund,” he says. Ebba was a partially deaf girl who was killed in the terror attack, on her way to meet her mother after school. “Ebba’s death at the hands of the invaders, the indignity of her violent demise and my inability to stop it broke through my own jade cynicism like a sledgehammer,” he wrote.

The other events which inspired his descent into terrorism were the 2017 US-French General Election and his visit to France. About the elections, he says, “The internationalist, globalist, anti-white, ex-banker won. It wasn’t even close.” As a consequence of the result, his “belief in a democratic solution vanished.” He also paints a very bleak picture of France where he asserts that “invaders” have essentially taken over.

The document provides further insight into how his mind works. Tarrant says he harbours no enmity towards Muslims who live in their own homelands. He dislikes Muslims who have migrated to Western countries and he considers them as invaders. But he reserves his hatred only for Whites who have converted to Islam. He calls them “blood traitors to their own race”. One interesting feature about White Nationalists is that certain people among them advocate for a mass conversion to Islam to escape the degeneracy of liberalism and ‘safeguard the future of the White race’. Tarrant is, quite obviously, not one of them.

Tarrant admits that he committed an act of terrorism but does not feel any remorse for the attack. “By definition, yes,” he says in response to whether his actions can be classified as terrorism, “But I believe it is a partisan action against an occupying force.” On whether he feels any remorse, he says, “No, I only wish I could have killed more invaders, and more traitors as well.” Tarrant also says that he doesn’t hate other cultures and has travelled to many countries where was greeted with “warmth and compassion” and “enjoyed nearly every moment” he spent with them.

The terrorist also admits that his attack was racist, was xenophobic to a degree and was anti-Islamic in origin. He describes the attack as “a want for revenge against Islam for the 1300 years of war and devastation that it has brought upon the people of the West and other peoples of the world.” He also makes it clear that he does not consider the people he has murdered as innocent. “They are no innocents in an invasion, all those who colonize other peoples lands share guilt.” Above all, it was anti-immigrant, the terrorist says. “Yes, beyond all doubt, anti-immigration, anti-ethnic replacement and anti-cultural replacement.”

Tarrant, however, denies that his attack was anti-diversity. In fact, he argues that his attack was “in the name of diversity”.He says, “The attack was to ensure the preservation of beauty, art and tradition. In my mind a rainbow is only beautiful due to its variety of colours, mix the colours together and you destroy them all and they are gone forever and the end result is far from anything beautiful.”

Further down the line, Tarrant agrees that he is a racist as he believes “racial differences exist between peoples and they have a great impact on the way we shape our societies”. Although earlier he admitted that his terror attack had a certain xenophobic component, he denies that he is a xenophobic himself. “No culture scares me,” he says. He considers himself an ethno-nationalist. He appears to hate conservatism which he says is “corporatism in disguise”.

There are various facets of Tarrant’s ideology that place him, like every other terrorist ever, at odds with the Liberal conception of terrorism. It’s quite clear that he didn’t commit himself to terrorism because he was economically impoverished. He did not do it because he was not educated enough. As his manifesto amply demonstrated, he had a deep knowledge of history and was capable of expressing himself. When he cited the Knight Templars, which was a Catholic Army that fought against Islamic empires during the Crusades, he again displayed his knowledge of history and placed his actions in its context. As is obvious, the motivations for his attack were deeply ideological, contrary to the Liberal notion which prioritizes material aspects, and he does not shy away from it in the same manner as Islamic terrorists do not.

In the aftermath of the terror attack, several things have happened which only serve the terrorist’s intended purpose. ISIS has called for revenge against the terror attack at the Mosques. Liberals all over the world are blaming Donald Trump and prominent conservative intellectuals for the terror attack and are calling for their censorship. All of this will lead to further polarization and perpetuate a more terrifying cycle of violence, which is exactly the terrorist wanted.

More indication that unleashing chaos was his primary objective came from a picture that was released of the terrorist under arrest. He could be seen making a hand gesture that has been branded as a symbol of White Supremacy by liberals but in reality, it is just an ordinary gesture that was hijacked by trolls on the internet to advocate support for Donald Trump. The fact that he made the hand gesture will lead to crackdown against ordinary people who use it or have used it in the past as a form of harmless ironic humour. Until now, it was one of those meaningless things that could mean whatever people wanted it to mean. But now, it will lead to the demonization of people which would sow the seeds for further chaos.

Ironically enough, the terrorist is a product of the same nihilism he seeks to destroy. His entire ideology could take root only in a society the very fabric of which has been permeated by nihilism. His religious ideas are not the foundation of his ideology, his race is. At one point in his document, he admits that he isn’t sure if he is Christian. It’s further evidence of the fact that unlike what atheists would have us believe, a lack of religiosity does not automatically translate into a humanitarian worldview.

The terrorist’s inherent desire to use chaos and polarization as a means to achieve his desired end combined with his apparent lack of religiosity and great emphasis on his racial identity elucidates that his priorities are not oriented towards spiritual pursuits but material ones.

While attempts are being made to malign Hindus and Hindu organizations, the New Zealand terrorist’s modus operandi and his ideology reveal that he has much more in common with Islamic terrorists than any other group.

New York’s deputy head of counterterrorism John Miller went so far as to say that the attack bears great similarities with ISIS-inspired attacks. He also said that terrorists like Tarrant are borrowing propaganda techniques from other terror groups. “You can see that the neo-fascist groups, white supremacists are borrowing from the ISIS playbook,” Miller told CBS News. “In this attack, you see the phenomenon that we coined the phrase in the NYPD ‘dying live.’ This was an ISIS tactic where they said if you’re going to do a mass casualty attack, you should live stream it over social media. We’ve seen them adopting many of the tactics, the terrorist tactics you would see in things like ISIS’ Rumiyah magazine or Al Qaeda’s magazines in terms of instruction.”

In a yet another display of uncultured behaviour Karnataka Congress leader calls PM Modi “Namard”

In yet another despicable display of brazenness, a Karnataka Congress MLA from Basavakalyan in Bidar district, B Narayan Rao, while addressing a public gathering called PM Narendra Modi “Namard”.

Displaying his real turn of mind, the MLA said in Kalaburagi in Karnataka, “Those who are namard can get married but can’t have children, PM Modi can get married but can’t have children. This is not a PM who works, but a PM who lies.”

With Lok Sabha elections just a few weeks ahead, Congress, which seems to be baffled by its recent shortcomings, such as defections, internal rifts, and the break-up with its alliances in several states, is back to resorting to its old approach of inflicting PM Narendra Modi with personal attacks.

Recently, actress and Congress leader Vijaya Shanti had equated PM Modi to a terrorist. While addressing a rally in Shamshabad, Telangana Shanti said, “Everyone is scared that at what moment Modi will shoot the bomb. He looks like a terrorist. Instead of loving people, he is scaring people. It’s not the way how a PM should be.”

Shockingly, this disgraceful statement was made in the presence of Congress President Rahul Gandhi, but knowing his disposition it is only obvious that there was no condemnation for his side.

Similarly, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera stoked a controversy when he compared PM Modi to Islamic terrorists Maulana Masood Azhar, Osama bin Laden, Dawood Ibrahim and Pakistan’s Intelligence Agency ISI. However, Khera suffered a huge humiliation at the event as the audience immediately hooted and demanded an immediate apology from him.

In fact, Congress’ grudge against PM Modi is so strong that one of its leaders from Karnataka, TB Jayachandra, breaking all barriers of basic humanity went on to give an open call for ‘burning Modi alive’.

Somehow, these kinds of despicable political rhetorics are very common with the Congress who have become too insecure after Modi’s increasing popularity. Recently, Karnataka Congress leader Belur Gopalakrishna had shockingly called for the assassination of Prime Minister Modi.

Displaying similar rhetorics, former Uttar Pradesh MLA from the Congress party, Imran Masood, had allegedly threatened to “chop Narendra Modi into pieces” ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

In October 2018, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor had issued a controversial statement comparing Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a ‘Scorpion on a Shivling’ and claimed that PM Modi cannot be even hit with a chappal.

Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar had taken digs at PM Modi’s humble beginnings and called him a ‘chaiwalla’. He had also referred to Modi as ‘neech insaan’ which got him suspended from Congress.  Sanjay Nirupam, another serial abuse has often used derogatory terms to abuse PM Modi by referring to him as ‘illiterate and uncouth’.

PM Modi’s humble background has always been a point of criticism for Congress leaders. After senior Congress leader, CP Joshi’s cheap casteist slur against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders of the BJP, Uttar Pradesh’s Congress Chief Raj Babbar had stooped to his lowest by pulling Modi’s mother into this muck and comparing the devaluing rate of the Indian rupee to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aged mother.

Delhi HC seeks Christian Michel and the CBI’s response on Tihar Jail plea challenging the order allowing him to make international calls

0

The Delhi High Court has sought the responses of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Christian Michel on a plea filed by Tihar authorities challenging a trial court order that allowed him to make international phone calls in violation of prison rules. A Bench of Justice Mukta Gupta issued a notice to Michel and the CBI seeking their reply on the plea.

The trial court in January this year had allowed the alleged middleman in the  VVIP Chopper Scam, Christian Michel to make international phone calls to his family, friends and lawyers for 15 minutes a week. Advocate Avi Singh, appearing for Tihar jail, argued that the prison manual provided only for 10 minutes of call per week. He said that as per January 27, 2017 circular of prison authorities, a foreign national is allowed to make calls to the country of his or her origin only. Michel has mostly been contacting his legal representatives in Italy while his country of origin is the UK.

The Tihar authorities had alleged in the plea that no facts and circumstances were considered by the trial court for granting an illegal and improper privilege of communication. The High Court has fixed the next hearing in the matter on April 22.

Earlier the court had imposed restrictions on Michel’s meetings with his lawyer during his custody with the ED after the ED said that Michel was misusing the legal access by passing chits to his lawyers asking them how to tackle questions on “Mrs Gandhi“.
