Kerala communists vandalised mosque to incite riots and blame it on Sangh Parivar: Reports

The incidents of violence and protests have been continuing in Kerala since January 2 after the communist government sneaked two of its women activists inside the Sabarimala temple. While the communist government has been accused of using police atrocities against devotees and using excesses, now reports have emerged that CPIM and DYFI activists had vandalised a mosque in Perambra, Kozhikode and tried to blame it on the Sangh Parivar.

As per reports, activists and members of the Democratic Youth Federation of India, which is the student wing of the CPIM, and the ruling CPIM goons vandalised and pelted stones at a mosque in Perambra. While initially the act was blamed on the Sangh Parivar and Hindu activists, after police investigations it has come to light that CPIM and DYFI activists were behind it.

News portal MyNation has accessed the police FIR which names the local CPIM branch secretary and 20 other persons who belong to the DYFI and CPIM. A case had been registered against them under section 153 for promoting enmity between two groups and attempting to cause riots.

On 5th January, BJP MP V Muralidharan’s house near Thalassery was attacked and the RSS office in Kannur was set on fire, allegedly by CPIM workers. Before that, the CPIM goons had also vandalised the residence of an elderly RSS Sanghsanchalak in Kannur.

Before that, On 2nd January, a 55-year-old member of Sabarimala Karma Samithi had succumbed to skull injuries sustained when CPIM workers allegedly pelted stones at him from the rooftop of their party office in Pamba.

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan had declared that the man died of a cardiac arrest which was later proven false by the autopsy report.

So far, the Kerala government has arrested 1369 people and detained 717 in connection with incidents of violence.

Before that, the communist government had also registered complaints against 1400 devotees who had participated in a peaceful protest by lighting lamps for the ‘Ayyappa Jyothi’.

Hindu organisations and devotees of Sabarimala temple have been protesting against the communist government’s excesses and attempts to desecrate the traditions of the temple which restricts the entry of women of reproductive age.

Christian Michel was lobbying against Rafale, for Eurofighter: Another revelation after ‘Mrs Gandhi’ and ‘Son R’

Within days of the ED admitting middleman Christian Michel‘s involvement in various defence deals, documents have now revealed that Christian Michel had allegedly lobbied on behalf of Eurofighter to influence the Rafale deal, reported India Today.

According to India Today, Christian Michel with another middleman Guido Haschke had worked on a plan to lobby for Eurofighter against Rafale in order to win the deal in its favour.  A “strategy paper” which has been seized during the raids has revealed that Christian Michel and Guido Haschke had planned to make Eurofighter secure the deal against the French Rafale in the MMRCA competition.

Reportedly, the strategy paper, which was prepared in 2008, mentions the need for engaging “in an in-country bureaucratical and political navigator” to make Eurofighter win the bid. The document allegedly prepared with consultation from Christian Michel and Guido Haschke further discloses that there were only three candidates for lobbying and only one of the three was available for the job, without naming any one of them.

“This man should have worked in the MOD and know well on first name basis and not just the MOD, key bureaucrats and the minister but also the PM, Finance Minister and the Leading Family,” the document further reads.

The strategy paper also talks about not only lobbying the politicians but also regarding lobbying three Air Force officials. “The 3 bosses of maintenance must be lobbed i.e. Chief of Maintenance Command, Air Officer Maintenance and Chief of Engineering,” the document further noted.

Christian Michel is accused of money laundering, bribery, and fraud in connection with the Rs 3,600-crore worth AgustaWestland scam. This disclosure of Michel’s involvement in promoting Eurofighter to scuttle the bid for Rafale raises suspicion regarding the involvement of various other parties including the opposition in the matter of India’s national security.

Congress party President Rahul Gandhi has been fighting hard against the Rafale. As names of various senior leaders have been doing rounds for their alleged involvement in the AgustaWestland helicopter scam, this revelation has further strengthened the speculation that external forces may have allegedly joined hands with the Congress party to terminate the Rafale deal in favour of other fighter aircraft.

Interestingly, Eurofighter is designed by a consortium of multinational defence companies from UK, Germany, Italy and Spain. Italian firm Finmeccanica which makes AgustaWestland choppers owns 21 per cent shares in the Eurofighter consortium.

Eurofighter Typhoon was one of the two fighter aircraft which had qualified for the final round of the Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA) competition along with the Dassault Rafale. Rafale was finally chosen over Eurofighter after a complex evaluation and testing procedure of the Air Force.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday during a discussion on the Rafale jet deal had taken a jibe by taking the reference of Eurofighters against the Congress party after they were found throwing paper planes in the House. “I think these planes are being flown in the memory of Eurofighters,” said Jaitley.

Aided by Congress friendly media, Rahul Gandhi has been attacking the Narendra Modi government on the issue of Rafale deal by citing false facts. Despite the fact that the Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had presented every fact in the house, Congress President Rahul Gandhi had indulged in fake narratives against the Rafale deal.

Christian Michel is currently in custody and is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) for his role in the AgustaWestland chopper deal case. The ED had dropped several bombshells in the Court and had even asserted that Michel had mentioned a certain “Mrs Gandhi” during interrogation. Officials also verbally mentioned that Michel has also named “Italian lady’s son R who might become PM’.

“The culture it (BJP) is leaving behind, it may have to face it in the future,” SP chief Akhilesh Yadav on CBI raids

Following the multiple CBI raids in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh as part of the probe in the illegal sand mining scam, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP of playing vendetta politics. He warned the BJP that the ‘CBI raid culture’ the BJP has started will someday come to haunt them.

On Saturday, the CBI searched 14 locations including the premises of former IAS officers in UP and Delhi. The public servants are accused of allowing illegal mining between 2012-2016 and illegally renewing licence despite National Green Tribunal ban. The officers are accused of allowing theft of minerals, money extortion from leaseholders and drivers. Yadav, along with being the state’s chief minister, also held the mining portfolio during 2012-13. He was succeeded by Gayatri Prajapati. Gayatri Prajapati was arrested in 2017 after a Chitrakoot woman accused him of rape.

The CBI is likely to summon Yadav and former UP minister Gayatri Prajapati in the case as per reports. Amid these speculations, Yadav said that he is ready to face the probe but then people are also ready to answer the BJP. He added that the BJP is using the CBI raids to stop the SP from winning maximum seats in upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The Samajwadi Party chief also accused the BJP of ending ‘political etiquette’. “The BJP wants other political parties to behave in the same manner as it behaves. But we will not change our etiquettes,” Yadav said. “If they (BJP) have the CBI, we have the gathbandhan (alliance),” Yadav added.

Telangana: BJP MLA refuses to take oath in front of pro-tem speaker, who is from AIMIM

Bhartiya Janta Party’s only MLA in Telangana Raja Singh has declared that he will not take oath in front of pro-tem Speaker of the house Mumtaz Ahmed Khan belonging to the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen or AIMIM. He said this in a video uploaded on Facebook today.

The first session of the newly elected Telangana Assembly is scheduled to start on January 17, and as per rules, the MLAs of the house will take oath on the first day. As the speaker of the house is selected after the oath taking by the members, a pro-tem speaker is designated to conduct the oath taking. Generally, the seniormost member is named as pro-tem speaker, and 70-year-old Khan was designated as pro-tem speaker of the house, as informed by the Chief Minister’s office. The pro-tem speaker takes charge until a new speaker and deputy speakers are chosen by the house.

“I will neither go to House on 17 January nor will take oath as MLA and I don’t care if other members take or not. I will not take oath in front of a person, whose party wants to finish the Hindu community, wage war in the country and refuse to chant Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata ki Jay” Raja Singh says in the video. He also added that KC Rao, CM of Telangana, has taken this decision in collusion with AIMIM members, that too at late night yesterday.

Ahmed Khan will take oath as pro-tem Speaker under the administration of Governor ESL Narasimhan on January 16. The next day, all MLAs will take oath under the administration of the pro-tem speaker.

Raja Singh has also appealed to CM KC Rao to take back the decision and send the right message to citizens of Telangana. He also added that he is exploring all legal options with experts. Raja Singh also hinted that AIMIM was against the separation of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and KC Rao should not support such a party.

AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi in 2016 had said that he will never chant Bharat Mata ki Jay, even if someone puts the knife on his throat. His younger brother, Akbarudin Owasi in 2012 had delivered a hate speech against Hindus and had said that Muslims will show 100 crore Hindus who is more powerful if police is withdrawn for just 15 minutes.

Owaisi has often claimed that the BJP is anti-Muslim. He had recently stirred up a controversy implying that the government does not hire Muslims for serving in the security forces. During the demonetisation in 2016, Owaisi had claimed that the BJP government in the centre is not providing enough cash in the ATMs located in Muslim dominated areas. In another controversial statement, MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi said that he would ask Telangana Chief Minister KC Rao to send BJP President Amit Shah some kalyani (beef) biryani.

Last year, Raja Singh had resigned as an MLA and party member to commit himself to Gauraksha. He has said that for him, Dharma and Gau-Raksha (cow protection) is more important than Politics. Raja Singh is currently an MLA-elect from Goshamahal Assembly constituency in Hyderabad. He is widely known in the region for his Hindutvawadi image.

From emergency landings to full emergency, Indian airports have had an eventful 24 hours

0

The Indian airspace on Sunday experienced a scary day as three separate flights had to face emergency landings at various airports causing fear among both passengers and the airline operators. Two Air India flights and one Spice Jet flight experienced various technical faults in the middle of their journies and had to land at the nearest airports to avoid unfortunate incidents.

According to the reports, an emergency was declared at Kolkata airport on Saturday night after an Airbus A320 neo Air India plane Bkk-Del AI335, started leaking fuel. The flight was coming from Bangkok and was going to Delhi. It soon flew back after it encountered a technical problem and landed at Kolkata. The plane was carrying 150 passengers and all passengers were safe.

In another incident, an Air India Express IX-247, Mumbai-Dubai flight made an emergency landing at the Mumbai airport today due to hydraulic failure, reported ANI. Again, thankfully, all passengers were safe.

As if that was not enough, a SpiceJet flight, carrying over 140 passengers along with the crew, had to make an emergency landing at Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport airport of Varanasi due to a technical snag. A Boeing 737 Max took off from Hong Kong airport was en route Delhi but developed a snag in the left engine mid-air hours before landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA). All the passengers and crew are safe.

Sting operations lead to the arrest of secretaries of three UP Ministers following Yogi’s ‘zero tolerance for corruption’

A special investigation team (SIT) of Uttar Pradesh police has arrested personal secretaries of three ministers, following a sting operation conducted by a news channel, on charges of corruption and bribery.

The incident came to light after ABP News caught secretaries of State Ministers Archana Tripathi, Sandeep Singh and Om Prakash Rajbhar, seeking bribe inside the Vidhan Sabha during a sting operation conducted on Wednesday.

The Yogi Adityanath government set up the SIT headed by Additional Director General (Lucknow zone) Rajiv Krishnan to probe the charges soon after ABP News aired the video in which the secretaries were caught ‘red-handed’ asking for money in exchange for getting work done.

The arrested secretaries, who were immediately suspended (on December 28) after the video surfaced on December 27, were employed in the offices of Mining, Excise and Prohibition Minister Archana Pandey, Backward Classes Welfare Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar and Education Minister Sandeep Singh respectively. Om Prakash Kashyap- personal secretary of Backward Welfare Minister, Om Prakash Rajbhar, is purportedly seen seeking Rs 40 lakh for a transfer in the sting video.

In the same sting operation, personal secretary of Minister of State for Mining Archana Pandey was seen allegedly striking a deal with the channel’s reporter posing as the contractor, for getting him mining contracts in about six districts.

Similarly, Santosh Awasthi, personal secretary to MoS Basic Education Sandeep Singh, is also seen allegedly working out a deal for a contract for books and seeking his own cut.

The sting operation also produced alleged recordings of a secretariat staffer assuring the reporter that he would be awarded a schoolbag-and-uniform contract as a kickback.
The Uttar Pradesh government, in a statement late on Saturday night, said that “On getting sufficient evidence against the secretariat staff members, they have been arrested and sent to jail. The chief minister has a zero-tolerance towards corruption,” it stated.
The SIT is expected to submit its report within 10 days after taking statements for all concerned parties.

Union government forms High Level Committee for implementation of clause 6 of Assam Accord

The union government has formed a High Level Committee for implementation of Clause 6 of Assam Accord. On 2nd January 2019, the government had announced that it has approved the formation of a High Level Committee for implementation of the said clause.

The Assam Accord was signed on 15th August 1985, marking the end of six years long Assam agitation demanding detection and deportation of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants from Assam. The accord was signed between the Rajiv Gandhi government at the centre and the leadership of the agitation.

Although the agitation had come to an end with signing the accord, most provisions of the accord remain unfulfilled even after more than 3 decades. The main issue of illegal Bangladeshis still continues, although the process of updating of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in the state is in final stage after a long delay, which is a crucial step in this regard.

The cause 6 of the Assam Accord reads: “Constitutional, legislative and administrative safeguards, as may be appropriate, shall be provided to protect, preserve and promote the cultural, social, linguistic identity and heritage of the Assamese people.”

The High Level Committee formed by the union government will be headed by retired IAS officer M P Bezbaruah. The Committee has nine other members, including retired IAS officer Subhash Das, former president of Asom Sahitya Sabha Dr Nagen Saikia, former editor of The Sentinel and former Editors Guild President Dhirendra Nath Bezbaruah, the Advocate General of Assam Ramesh Borpatragohain, one representative of All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) among others, and the joint secretary of Home Ministry will be the member secretary of the committee.

The committee will examine the effectiveness of various measures taken since 1985 to implement the clause 6 of the Assam Accord. The Committee will hold discussions with various stakeholders including social organizations, legal and constitutional experts, eminent persons from the field of art, culture and literature, conservationists, economists, linguists and sociologists. The High Level Committee will also assess the appropriate level of reservation of seats in Assam Legislative Assembly and local bodies for the Assamese people. It will study and suggest measures needed for protection of Assamese and other indigenous languages of the state, and also for protection and preservation of various cultural, social, linguistic identity and heritage of people of Assam. The committee will also discuss the rights of indigenous people over natural resources.

While making these recommendations, the committee will have to look into and define several complex and contentious issues. The primary among them is the definition of ‘Assamese people’ mentioned in the clause. As per the Assam Accord and the accompanying amendment in the Citizenship Act, any person who entered the state before 25th March 1972 will be granted citizenship. This means a huge number of immigrants from Bangladesh are deemed to be legal citizens of India. But as the implementation of the clause 6 of Assam accord would involve reservations for indigenous people in the legislative assembly, local bodies and government jobs, protection of cultural, social, linguistic identity, and rights over natural resources, many people feel this cut-off date is unacceptable for implementation of this clause. Most people, including the AASU leadership, think that the NRC of 1951 should be taken as the basis for defining ‘Assamese people’ eligible for proposed safeguards under the clause.

Other than that, the committee will have to decide up to what extent various protections and safeguards will be provided to ‘Assamese people’ in political, economic, cultural, social and linguistic fields.

The High Level Committee will have to submit its report within six months from the date of notification. The State Government of Assam will provide the necessary administrative and logistic support to the Committee, and it will be serviced by the North East Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Few steps under clause 6 of the accord have been already implemented. These include the establishment of Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati, modernisation of Jyoti Chitraban Film Studio, financial assistance to Vaishnav Satras in the state, preservation and development of historical monuments etc.

Hours after Sukhpal Khaira quits AAP, Manish Sisodia demands he resigns as MLA from Punjab Assembly as well

The discord between AAP members which has been brewing for quite some time laid disrobed as the AAP leader, Manish Sisodia, who is second in line after party supremo, Arvind Kejriwal, took to Twitter to dress down Punjab AAP MLA Sukhpal Khaira, who today tendered his resignation from the primary membership of the party.

Sukhpal Singh Khaira is the second AAP member to quit the party within a week. His resignation came in days after Senior party leader, HS Phoolka quit the Aam Aadmi Party.

Sisodia while accepting the suspended MLAs resignation, said that Khaira should also, now resign from the MLAs post, which he won on Aam Aadmi party’s ticket. Sisodia saw his resignation as a boost to the party as according to him Khaira was trying to weaken the party by openly revolting against it.

Khaira had resigned from the Aam Aadmi party due to the ‘dictatorial attitude’ of Arvind Kejriwal, which had “shattered the dreams of Indians and the Punjabis for a clean alternative to the decayed and rotten system.” In his resignation letter sent to AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal, Khaira wrote that the “party has totally deviated from the ideology and principles on which it was formed post-Anna Hazare movement.”

Stating that Kejriwal failed to understand the psyche of the Punjabis due to his ‘overconfidence’, Khaira said, “You only listened to the two “Subedars” you had appointed to run Punjab and never bothered about the sentiments of AAP volunteers on the ground.”

The unequivocal rift between the members of the Aam Aadmi party, which started when Kejriwal had to apologize to senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia for falsely accusing the latter of running a drug trade, kept magnifying.

Khaira who had then opposed to Kejriwal’s decision of apologising was subsequently removed from his post of Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Assembly in July last year and replaced by Dirba legislator Harpal Singh Cheema.

Khaira had voiced his discontent over his sudden removal, saying, he was not for any designation, but the manner in which he was removed from the post was arbitrary and humiliating.

After his meeting with Sisodia, regarding his removal from the post of Leader of Opposition, did not yield any positive result, Khaira, along with other leaders organised a convention where seven AAP MLAs along with Khaira reportedly passed a resolution proclaiming the autonomy from the Delhi leadership.

The rebel leaders consisting of leaders like Kanwar Sandhu from Kharar, Nazar Singh Mansahia from Mansa, Kulwant Singh Mehal Kalan, Baldev Singh from Jaitu, Pirmal Singh from Bhadaur, Jagdev Singh Kamalu from Maur and Jagtar Singh Jagga from Raipur along with Khaira had then shown their resentment over Khaira’s removal calling it ‘undemocratic’ and had also raised concerns over Kejriwal and Sisodia ‘dictatorial attitude’ with which they were trying to control the state from Delhi.

Sukhpal Singh Khaira, MLA from Bhulath, was appointed as the leader of the opposition after HS Phoolka resigned from the post as he has decided to step away sighting conflict of interest, to fight the cases relating 1984 Anti-Sikh riots in the Supreme Court.

Recently, AAP leader HS Phoolka, who was against the formation of an alliance with Congress also resigned from the party. Years after AAP founding members Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav were kicked out of the party, in August last year, AAP senior leader Ashutosh and Ashish Khetan had also quit the party.

Uttar Pradesh: A straying goat instigates communal disorder yet again, several injured in subsequent clashes

In yet another bizarre incident reported from Chandauli village in Uttar Pradesh, the village was marred with violence as two factions of the society came face to face over a strayed goat. The two groups were seen hitting each other with sticks and pelting stones at one another. Thirteen people were reported to be injured in the altercation, amongst which two are reported to be critical.

The string of events sprang as a goat belonging to Pilu Khan entered farmer Dinanath’s field and started grazing on his wheat crop. An altercation started after Dinanath and his wife objected to the same.

After learning, that the goat belonging to Pilu Khan had damaged his crops, Dinanath along with a few others, reportedly went to Khan’s house to warn him against indulging in such a deed, as according to Dinanath, Khan intentionally left his goat to wander on Dinanath’s field.

The argument that preceded took an ugly turn and Khan along with his community members got into a brawl with Dinanath and his friends. Both the groups attacked each other with sticks and pelted stones at one another.

Drawing information about the same, CO Sadar Pradip Singh Chandel along with police force from three other stations reached the spot and took control of the situation. Judging from the status quo, Chandel converted the area into a police camp.

Though goats are known to be one the most docile living creatures, they have lately become the source for such communal tensions in Uttar Pradesh.

Earlier too in 2017, a similar incident had come to light when Esakhpur village in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh was locked in a communal dispute after a goat belonging to a Hindu family had gone grazing in the field of a man named Ahmed. The incident, then, had turned so serious that there were reports of communal fights involving sharp weapons and even guns.

Similarly, in an instance in Fatehpur, communal clashes had ensued after Gangaram’s goat had strayed into the fields of Nusrat Jahan following which it was badly beaten.

Recently, reports of communal violence have emerged from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh after a goat had allegedly hit a 55-year-old man in Indira Vihar Colony. As per reports, the two communities indulged in pelting stones at each other as well.

After threatening temple traditions, Kerala Communist minister now abuses Sabarimala Tantri as a ‘monster’

After Kerala government aided two left-wing ideologues to desecrate Sabarimala temple by entering the shrine to violate the age-old customs, a senior minister in Kerala communist government has now resorted to ‘Brahmin-bashing’ after he compared the Sabarimala chief Tantri or head priest to a ‘monster’ for ordering a purification ritual.

According to the reports, Kerala public works department (PWD) minister and senior CPI(M) leader G Sudhakaran upset after facing severe protests by Hindus devotees across the state resorted to verbally abuse Sabarimala Tantri Kandaru Rajeevaru as a “Brahmin monster after he had ordered for a ritual to purify the Sabarimala shrine after two Communist party workers Bindu and Kanakdurga had stealthily entered the shrine with the help of Kerala police.

“The Tantri is a symbol of caste devil. He is not a Brahmin. He is a Brahmin monster. If a Brahmin becomes a monster, he will be a terror,” he was quoted by the news agency PTI as saying.

G Sudhakaran not only criticised the Tantri for performing the ritual ceremony but also went on to question the priest’s ‘Shuddhi’ (purity). “Tantri is not a ‘Shuddha Brahmin’. He does not have any love, respect towards Lord Ayyappa,” the minister alleged.

It is a bit of a rich for a Kerala Communist minister to comment on the issue of gender equality, as the workers belonging to his own party had attacked a Christmas Carol singers’ group, which had women and children and they were forced to take refuge in a Church. In a bitter instance of irony, while the women after being molested by alleged DYFI ‘activists’ continued to fear for their lives, the Communist government in Kerala was busy organizing a ‘Women’s Wall‘ for ‘Gender Justice’ to facilitate the desecration of the Sabarimala Temple.

The Kerala government led by Pinarayi Vijayan has been facing massive protests after it deliberately allowed non-believers to enter the shrine to violate age-old customs. Earlier, lakhs of devotees especially women, lit lamps and stood on public roads and highways on the occasion of “Ayappa Jyothi”, covering a distance of 795 km on 26 December to show their solidarity with Hindu devotees who are fighting for the preservation of age-old Hindu customs.

The left-wing goons aided by the Kerala government have begun to inflict serious violence on Hindu devotees and the BJP cadre. A country-made bomb was hurled on Saturday at BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP V Muraleedharan’s ancestral house at Vadiyil Peedikia near Thalassery and an RSS office in Kannur was set ablaze by unknown assailants. Chandran Unnithaan, an Ayappa devotee and member of Sabarimala Karma Samithi had died after stone pelting by CPIM workers.

The Kerala Communist government who had earlier attempted several times to allow activists and non-Hindus to enter the Sabarimala shrine, even by escorting them. The Kerala government with their police force has now become successful in deliberately violating the age-old customs protected for thousand years. Pinarayi Vijayan led Kerala government in their attempt to aid their communist colleagues to enter the Sabarimala have defamed the Hindus and their long-held traditions.
