Sambhal violence: Madarsa students were called from nearby areas? Police investigating new angle

Weeks after the violence in Sambhal, the police have started an investigation from a new angle after some letters informed the police that as a part of the conspiracy to carry out the violence, Madarsa students from the nearby areas of Hapur, Rampur and Bulandshahr were called to join the mob.

As per reports, SP Bishnoi has stated that some letters and documents have been received by the police that indicate that there may have been a conspiracy to carry out large-scale violence in Sambhal during the court-ordered survey of the Jama Masjid. The letters say that Madarsas in neighbouring districts were contacted and young students were asked to gather in Sambhal on the day of the violence.

Police have started an investigation into this angle.

So far, 93 rioters that have been identified are still absconding. The Sambhal police is about to declare rewards for information on their whereabouts. Additionally, photographs of 400 rioters have been issued. The accused in the Sambhal violence case would be facing the stringent National Security Act for rioting and arson.
