In Uttar Pradesh’ Pilibhit, 3 Khalistani terrorists have been injured in a police encounter. As per reports, they were wanted for their involvement in the grenade attack at the Gurdaspur police chowki. The encounter was a joint operation by Punjab Police and UP Police.

After the encounter, the police recovered 2 AK rifles, ammunition and a Glock gun. UP police stated in a press statement that a team from Gurdaspur police had come to Puranpur police, informing them that a gang of Khalistani terrorists wanted for a grenade attack in Gurdaspur, are hiding in the area. Puranpur police stated that the suspected terrorists tried running away and launched an attack at the police teams chasing them. In retaliatory fire, 3 of them have been injured and have been sent to CHC Puranpur.

UP Police added that the injured terrorists have been sent for treatment and as per the law, action has been initiated. They have added that apart from the AK rifles and the Glock pistol, a heavy amount of ammunition has been recovered from the terrorists.
