Delhi Police sources have said that the accused knew of Anjali Singh's body being dragged by them under the car but were 'afraid' that if they got out of the car and got her out, they would get into legal trouble if anyone saw them.
Both passengers have been arrested at the airport police station for being in an inebriated state. Patna Airport SHO Robert Peter said that the police took action after the manager of Indigo filed a written complaint against the accused.
According to the police, Chetram stabbed his wife multiple times with a screwdriver to take revenge for his previous arrest and later also cut his nose.

This comes after accused Shankar Mishra, who was absconding since the incident came to light, issued a statement through his lawyers claiming that he had paid ‘compensation’ to the victim and the lady displayed no intention of lodging a complaint.
Sugata Bhattacharjee, a US-based doctor of audiology and Mishra’s co-passenger on the Air India flight said that the accused had downed four glasses of single malt during lunch.
