Moreover, the affidavit stated that on the 16th of April, the drug inspector/district ayurvedic and unani officer in Haridwar filed a criminal complaint with the Chief Judicial Magistrate against Baba Ramdev, Acharya Balkrishna, Divya Pharmacy, and Patanjali Ayurved Limited under sections 3, 4, and 7 of the DMR Act.
The court stated that it would review the case in light of all previous developments. "We haven't decided whether to forgive you. You have violated (directives) thrice. We are currently reviewing previous orders. You are not so innocent that you did not know what's happening in court," the court said.
In an affidavit, Patanjali Ayurved Managing Director Acharya Balkrishna said that he submits an unqualified apology before the top court for the breach of the statement recorded in the order copy of the top court dated November 21, 2023.
The Supreme Court ruled that Patanjali cannot advertise or market any of its medicinal products that claimed to heal conditions listed in the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act.
