Delhi government earned Rs. 8,900 cr from newly allotted licenses to sell alcohol in the national capital, new vendors to start operations from November 17
As per the decision, starting from the upcoming revenue year, that is November 1, 15% reservation will be given to the Backward Castes (Gowda community), 10% for the SCs and 5% to STs in permissions granted to open liquor shops in the state.
The UP government has declared that an area comprising of 22 wards of the Mathura municipality will henceforth be identified as a holy pilgrimage site and will have a complete ban on the sale of meat and liquor.
