Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan on Sunday started 11 days 'Prayaschitta Diksha' at Sri Dasavatara Venkateswara Swamy Temple, in Guntur as penance for the alleged use of 'animal fat' in Tirupati Laddu Prasadam
Andhra Pradesh Congress President YS Sharmila has written to Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding a CBI inquiry into allegations that the previous YSRCP government used substandard ingredients and animal fat in making Tirupati laddus
Chandrababu Naidu claimed that the quality of Tirumala Laddu had become substandard during the previous dispensation, and termed it a sacrilege. YSR Congress, meanwhile, refuted the claim
While speaking about the matter, Krishna district SP R Gangadhar Rao said, "Police found no concealed cameras in the washrooms of the girls' hostel premises as of Friday."
The accused was identified as Vijay, a student of the SR Gudlavalleru Engineering College. The police have seized his laptop and recovered over 300 obscene videos.
At a key meeting with the Hindu Religious Endowment Department, CM Chandrababu Naidu emphasised this move as part of a broader strategy to prevent forced conversions and preserve the spiritual integrity of Andhra’s sacred Hindu sites.
Shaikh Mastan Bi and Maabu Subhani, parents of Karishma, suspected foul play. They staged a protest at Madarsa and GGH mortuary in VIjaywada on the night of 28th June. Karsihma’s mother, Mastan Bi said, “My daughter’s health condition was good, and she did not suffer from fever. Food poisoning was not the cause of death.” She demanded a thorough investigation into the matter.
