Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Sunday said that their goal is to make missing persons' family members can find them as soon as possible after the horrific triple train accident that took place in Odisha's Balasore
It is by now confirmed that the accident took place after the Coromandel Express entered the wrong track due to a wrongly set interlocking system, causing it to smash into a goods train.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who reviewed the restoration work at the Balasore triple train collision site on Sunday, said the root cause of the accident has been identified and the track will likely be restored by today.
Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday reached the accident spot in Odisha's Balasore and took stock of the situation and assured to conduct a detailed high-level inquiry on the mishap.
Ashwini Vaishnaw said, "There is a large section of the political establishment that doesn't like Vande Bharat Express. Because they never upgraded when the world was going at a rapid pace far ahead."
A Rajya Sabha question asked if the Railways had estimated the revenue loss as a result of the encroachment of its territory and what corrective measures it had taken for the same.
