The Delhi HC on Thursday rejected a Public Interest Litigation seeking action against media houses for revealing the identity of AAP MP Swati Maliwal while reporting the alleged assault on her by Arvind Kejriwal’s aide Bibhav Kumar

It was alleged that Utsab initially posted a 'derogatory message' against Prophet Muhammad in a social media group and then deleted it later.

According to the police, the accused were identified as 29-year-old Yashmeet Singh, 28-year-old Gurjeet Singh and 25-year-old Amardeep Singh.

In a letter to Piyush Goyal, BJP worker Zahur Jalal Khan said that he and his family members were assaulted by Nadir Mandap for supporting the BJP.

Known for his loose tongue, Kejriwal was uncharacteristically restraint in divulging details about the alleged Swati Maliwal assault incident inside his residence.

The victim's husband is a member of the BJP's Muslim Manch. The accused has committed similar acts in the past.

Swati Maliwal said, "He slapped me 7-8 times with full force. When I tried to push him, he grabbed my foot and pulled me to the floor. Amidst all this, my head hit the centre table. I was on the floor when he started hitting me with his legs. I was screaming and seeking help but no one came out."

"According to them, I was 'Lady Singham' until I filed a complaint against Bibhav Kumar and today I have become a BJP agent? "I will take you to court for every lie you spread!" Maliwal said in a post on Monday.

Times Now journalist Aakanksha Khajuria and video journalist Radha Krishna were reportedly pushed around and slapped by AAP workers.
