70th National Film Awards for the year 2022 announced; Aattam bags the Best Feature Film award

'Naatu Naatu' was nominated alongside Taylor Swift's 'Carolina' from 'Where The Crawdads Sing', 'Ciao Papa' from 'Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio', Lady Gaga's 'Hold My Hand' from 'Top Gun: Maverick' and Rihanna's 'Lift Me Up' from 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'. 

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar had earlier declined the Padma Award in 2015.

During the initial days of coronavirus pandemic, several reports surfaced where ASHA workers were attacked by Muslim mobs for merely doing their job in Muslim dominated areas.

Though Mamata Banerjee was present at the event and was sitting on the stage when the award was presented, she did not receive the award herself. The award was received by state education minister Bratya Basu on the CM's behalf.
