Calling out the violence by radical Islamists against Hindus in Bangladesh, AJA CEO Robert Gregory said that such incidents show the threat and danger posed by radical Islam all over the world.
Similarly, another ISKCON Bangladesh spokesperson Yudhisthir Govinda Das said, “As per the info I have received, one of our ISKCON centres (rented) in Meherpur was burnt including with the deities of Lord Jagannath, Baladev, and Subhadra Devi. Three devotees who lived in the centre somehow managed to escape & survived.”
Dr Jaishankar mentioned that what is particularly worrying about the developments in Bangladesh is that minorities, their businesses and temples have come under attack at various locations in Bangladesh.
