Bangladesh protests

Amid the turmoil, a video depicting Islamists breaking new benchmarks for savagery and hatred towards Hindus in Bangladesh has gone viral.

Pakistan-linked Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) Bangladesh has been running havoc on the streets after the violent ouster of Sheikh Hasina and terrorising minority communities, particularly, Hindus. 

The centre was formally inaugurated in March 2010 and plays a crucial role in fostering cultural ties between India and Bangladesh.

Similarly, another ISKCON Bangladesh spokesperson Yudhisthir Govinda Das said, “As per the info I have received, one of our ISKCON centres (rented) in Meherpur was burnt including with the deities of Lord Jagannath, Baladev, and Subhadra Devi. Three devotees who lived in the centre somehow managed to escape & survived.”

Zubair shared some images of Muslim men standing outside temples in Bangladesh and lauded them for protecting the places.

On Monday, the unruly mob destroyed the Bangabandhu Museum in the Dhanmondi area in Dhaka. This museum was dedicated to the founding father of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who was assassinated in 1975.

While political landscape of Bangladesh is witnessing one of the toughest times in history, Hindus are the left at the mercy of Muslim mobs.

Joy, who served as an official adviser to the former prime minister until Monday, said in an interview with a British public service broadcaster's Newshour program that Sheikh Hasina had been contemplating resignation since Sunday and had left the country for her safety following pressure from her family.
