The Bombay High Court had on December 21 dismissed the petition filed by Anand Teltumbde seeking the quashing of the FIR and granted him interim protection from arrest for three weeks.
The Pune Police had arrested these four 'Urban Naxals' along with Delhi-based Gautam Navlakha on August 28 under sections of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) and IPC in the Elgaar Parishad case.
After the bail pleas were rejected, the defence lawyers sought a week's stay on implementation of the order so that they could file an appeal in the High Court, but the judge did not grant a stay.
