After former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel alleged that the numbers of many Electronic Voting Machines in his constituency, Rajnandgaon, have changed, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of the state clarified in a series of posts on 'X' that the "mismatch" in EVMs number shared with Baghel is not based on facts.

In Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel faces charges of diverting scam proceeds from govt to the upper echelons of the Congress leadership, purportedly aiding their deployment in election campaigns across other states.
"After the Mahadev app scam, Chhattisgarh CM is hiding his face. If the people involved in Delhi's liquor policy scam were not able to escape, here too, no one would be able to escape. 'Paisa Kamao...Bhupay karo' this continued for 5 years.
"The Chief Minister's close aides are behind bars. These mathematicians of Congress will have to tell how much share the CM has received in this," PM Modi said.
The voting process began at 7 a.m. amid tight security. Polling started at 7 a.m. for ten seats, which include Mohla-Manpur, Antagarh, Bhanupratappur, Kanker, Keshkal, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Dantewada, Bijapur and Konta. The other 10 seats started pollling at 8 am.
