"I found an envelope placed near my laptop just before closing the clinic in the evening of March 26 where someone has said that my family members and I were under his active scanner and will be killed if 2 crores were not given," said Dr Kumar, who also manages a diagnostic facility in the town.
The gang was involved in multiple cases of molestation and theft in Bihar. They would molest women in broad daylight and conduct small robberies at night.
Kashyap surrendered as the Bihar Police conducted raids on the possible hideouts of the accused. The Police on March 16 constituted a special team to ensure the arrest of the two accused.
