Yesterday, Mumbai witnessed highest-ever single-day surge in the coronavirus cases, as 998 people were reported to have contracted the deadly contagion.
Over the last few days, Mumbai, the financial hub of India and the capital city of Maharashtra, has emerged as the greatest spot of worry for India as far as Coronavirus is concerned.
The rainwater has drained into Mithi river, which has now crossed dangerous levels. At least 1000 people have been evacuated from Kranti Nagar area of Kurla in Mumbai to safer places to avoid any untoward incident due to the overflow of Mithi river.
