As per reports, China’s ambassador to South Africa Chen Xiaodong told while speaking to the media, "I am confident that as two nations, two countries, we will have direct talks, direct meetings. I cannot say there is tension between us, but as neighbouring countries we have many common interests at the same time we have some problems."

South African government has granted diplomatic immunity to all international participants, including Russia President Vladamir Putin and other Russian officials, at BRICS-related events to be held in the country, local media reported. 

In a bid to label the Indian government as 'incompetent', Subramanian Swamy dubbed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a 'political Hijda.'

The 2-day summit held in the port city of Osaka, Japan provided an opportunity for many world leaders to come together and discuss strategic issues of trade and bilateral cooperations.
