CPI(M) Youth Wing unleashes goons on Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa, attack his car.

India Today falsely claimed that BS Yediyurappa led Karnataka government has decided not to implement the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Karnataka.

Soon after Yediyurappa had taken oath as CM, there was a proposal to change the name of the canteen to Annapoorna. 

Rajdeep Sardesai insinuated that the by-polls result in Karnataka reflected' money and state power' wielded by the BJP government.

Yediyurappa-led BJP is leading in 10 seats while Congress and JDS are leading in 2 seats each. An independent candidate is leading in 1 seat.

CM Yediyurappa has accused former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of being indirectly responsible for the attack on Congress MLA Tanveer Sait saying that the latter's government failed to curb the PFI's activities and provided protection to them.

The disqualified 'rebel' MLAs will now officially join the Bharatiya Janata Party and are likely to contest the upcoming by-polls from the BJP ticket.

In 2014, during the Congress government, the then Speaker Kagodu Thimmappa had also proposed a ban on television cameras from broadcasting Assembly proceedings inside the house.

Chief Minister Yediyurappa on Monday, directed Karnataka Additional Chief Secretary of Urban Development Department, BH Anil Kumar, to initiate a probe into the matter.
