Border Guards Bangladesh troops opened fire at India's BSF when they had gone to trace the missing Indian fisherman.

Yadav, a constable in the 29th battalion of the BSF, was dismissed from the BSF in April 2017 after he was found guilty of several offences during an inquiry. He was even jailed in 2010 for threatening to shoot his superiors at BSF.

On Wednesday, the border guarding force had thwarted an attack by about 200 Bangladeshi cattle smugglers and seized 107 buffaloes along the border.

Tej Bahadur Yadav was sacked from BSF for making false claims, and earlier he was jailed four times for misbehaving with seniors

Yadav was suspended from service after he shared a video complaining about the poor quality of food to soldiers.

As per protocol, the Home Minister, after handing over the citation, has to only shake hands with the awardee.
