The controversy between the Calcutta High Court's single-judge bench order and division bench decision has now been taken up by the Supreme Court

The Supreme Court deemed the observations by the Calcutta High Court as 'problematic' and also questioned the legal principles involved in the judgment.

"They behaved like local goons. They shouted at the top of their voice; not a single decent language was used. All slang and filthy expletives," Protap Chandra Dey narrated.
