Sonu was caught on camera firing bullets at people during the Jahangirpuri violence. The mother of the accused has claimed he has been absconding due to fear.

BJP president JP Nadda blamed opposition parties for fueling communal violence in the country due to their divisive politics.

A mob of about 300-400 people came on roads and it is reported they beat up people who were driving past. The mob then also broke the idol of Sai Baba in nearby temple.

The Delhi Police has filed an FIR in connection with the violence that occurred in Jahangirpuri and 14 arrests are made.

Several videos are viral on social media in which the mob can be seen flashing swords and other weapons along with chanting slogans of Allahu Akbar.
