'The Vaccine War' movie charts the story of Indian scientists fighting it out not just is based on a book named 'Going Viral' which has been authored by Prof Balram Bhargava, Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). It seeks to dispel misconceptions about the COVID-19 vaccine by highlighting the contributions of unsung heroes, frontline workers, and tenacious scientists who worked nonstop for months to develop Covaxin, India's domestic COVID-19 vaccine.
Earlier, Covaxin was approved for children above 12, while SII's Covishield was approved for persons above 18. The new order states that Covaxin will also be administered only to persons above 18.
