Borasad police arrested three suspects Aslam, Hasim, and Sadiq in a cow slaughter case linked to the Muslim ritual 'Niyaz', sparking outrage on Rakshabandhan. The accused will now face legal proceedings.
The court stated that the accused slaughtered the cow despite knowing it was considered sacred in Hinduism and that under IPC 295, insulting any religion with malice is criminal.
According to Bhilai SSP Sukhnandan Rathore, an investigation is underway based on CCTV footage, and the calf's head has been sent to a laboratory for testing.
The Madhya Pradesh CM has also directed ADG-CID Pawan Srivastava of the state police headquarters to investigate the incident of cow slaughter, in which five people were arrested.
The remains of around 19 cows had been thrown into the river, and apart from this more than 32 cows had been slaughtered in other nearby areas, as per the report in Organiser.
The Hindus protested against the incident and raised slogans after which the Islamists attacked several Hindu activists for allegedly informing the police about the slaughtering of gauvansh.
After the video went viral, the Ranchi police registered a case and launched a manhunt for Amanullah and Hakim Khan, identified as the primary accused in the case.
