After the semi-nude body of a PG trainee doctor was discovered inside the seminar hall of RG Kar Medical College on the 9th of August, the hospital management informed her family that she had committed suicide.

Silvie Stina (28) was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation after asserting that she had been sexually assaulted for more than five days by a few unidentified people.

The accused Muslim youth was pressuring the victim to convert to Islam and perform Nikah with him. Reports say that Wasif was threatening the victim to make her obscene video viral on social media. On 29th July, Wasif threatened to throw acid on the Hindu’s girl face if she refused to convert to Islam and do Nikah with him.

Taking to X, Lucknow Police said that a case has been registered in the matter under relevant sections and the accused have been identified from the CCTV footage. The police said that two people Pawan Yadav and Sunil Kumar have been arrested while the search for others is on.

As per the local reports, the girl was gang raped by the 4 suspects identified by the family of the girl. They abducted her, gang-raped her, and then murdered her by inserting an iron rod in her private parts. The suspects also burned the face of the girl by pouring acid on it.

An X user replied, "Mohammed Junaid Khan wrote, "I remember the driver taking us from Makkah to Madinah was throwing phone numbers at all the women. The whole way he was harassing. A similar incident happened. The husband got down to buy water, the driver fled away taking the wife. She was never found."

The accused has been arrested under sections 63, 69, 329(4), and 319(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Samhita, 2023.
