In the wake of the Novel Coronavirus outbreak, the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday invoked the Epidemic Diseases Act of 1897 and declared a new set of bans to limit the spread of the highly contagious disease.
In early September, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had claimed that pollution had reduced in the national capital by 25% in four years, citing a report by Central Pollution Control Board.
Ghazipur landfill facility was opened in 1984 and has already reached its capacity in 2002. However, it was not closed but was allowed to function with more trucks arriving each day with tonnes of garbage.
