The complainant mentioned that in the interview, Bageshwar Baba promoted his supernatural powers and the channel allowed it to be shared, breaking the regulations of news broadcasting and digital standards. The complaint also alleged that Shastri promoted the idea of Hindu Rashtra and the love jihad "conspiracy".
Reports say that Dheerendra Shastri's programme will be held on 17th April in Chatra, Sunsari. Workers from the Vishwa Hindu Parishad promoting this event were attacked, escalating the tension.
Jharkhand High Court quashed the earlier order passed by the District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner of Palamu on 10th January refusing permission for “Hanumant Katha” recitation by Bageshwar Dham Peethadeeshwar Pandit Dhirendra Shastri.
Shastri explained that six months ago he completed the book in five days when he was in the southern state with the inspiration received from Lord Hanuman. He added that the book doesn’t compare it with others.
On July 25, a video was posted from the official Twitter handle of Bageshwar Dham in which a British person named Simon was seen donning a Ram Naami scarf during the said event.
