Several Indians are believed to have been among the 41 persons killed in a severe fire caught at a building in Kuwait's southern Mangaf area on Wednesday
Ro Khanna said that lecturing India on democracy doesn't achieve much because the EAM Dr Jaishankar just doesn't take it like previous ministers did. His sad frustration with Dr Jaishankar rejecting the lectures and sermons coming from USA was evident in his statement.
The EAM will also inaugurate the 3rd edition of the Nigeria-India Business Council meeting, deliver a speech at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, interact with CII Business delegates and inaugurate the bust of Mahatma Gandhi.
The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu stated on Thursday that Jaishankar and Foreign Affairs Minister of Nepal NP Saud also witnessed the handover of the fifth tranche of post-Jajarkot earthquake relief supply provided by the Indian government.
EAM Jaishankar slammed the journalist and said that it was nothing difficult to understand. "I think it answers the question if you would be objective enough to understand it. I think it says very clearly that the people who are writing these reports have a strong bias, often they distort facts. Many of these reports are riddled," Jaishankar was heard saying.
“No other G-20 presidency has tried to get together developing countries who are not on the table and say-please come, sit with us, tell us what are your concerns. And we will distil those concerns and place them before the G-20. That is a unique exercise,” the EAM said.
Jaishankar said that Russia is looking more towards Asia and for India, it means broadening of engagement between the two nations which was overly dependent on military, nuclear and supply space cooperation.
"There's no doubt role or salience of Asia will increase. Asia is growing because Asia has been global, what we shouldn't fall for is 'Asia for Asians', that rhetoric is misleading, and appeals to primitive chauvinism. It actually has deep strategic intent behind it," Jaishankar said while addressing the presser.
