Addressing a joint press conference with President Emmanuel Macron, PM Modi said France is an important partner in ‘Make in India’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiatives
“Last time when I came to France, it was decided that Indian students studying in France would be given a 2-year post-study work visa. Now it has been decided that Indian students will be given a five-year post-study work visa," while speaking to the Indian community at La Seine Musicale in Paris.
PM Modi thanked French President Macron for the honor on behalf of the people of India. The award ceremony took place at the Elysee Palace where Macron hosted PM Modi for a private dinner.
Prime Minister Modi is the guest of honour at the prestigious Bastille Day Parade which is scheduled for July 14. The annual Bastille Day Parade is a massive military display commemorating the historic French Revolution. It honours France's national pride while showcasing the country's military prowess.
"It is a murder attempt of unspeakable cowardice. If my priority today is to take care of my family, my determination to protect and serve the Republic is greater than before", mayor Jeanbrun added.
The Unions representing French Police asserted that today the police are in combat because they are at war. Tomorrow they will enter resistance if the government doesn't provide them greater legal protection.
