Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has added 18.92 lakh net members in the month of April 2024. The addition during the month is the highest since the first payroll data was published in April 2018, as per the official statement.

After receiving the ratification from the Union government, the interest rate on EPF for FY 2023-24 will be credited into accounts of over six crore subscribers of EPFO.

The EPFO has increased interest rate to 8.15% and it will benefit over 6 crore subscribers in FY23. It has also asked filed offices to start crediting it into members' accounts.
