Alwar (rural) circle officer Amit Singh has ordered a separate inquiry on the negligence of the police and assured that action will be taken against police personnel if they are found to be guilty.
Women in West Bengal have moved the Supreme Court narrating the details of the horrifying gang-rapes they were subjected to in the post-poll violence by the members of ruling party.
The incident comes days after two of his accomplices were shot at and injured by the Bengaluru police during an escape attempt. The Bengaluru police have arrested ten people so far in connection with the case.
The accused were shot at by Police Inspector (Ramamurthy Nagar) Melvin Francis when the duo attacked ACP (Banaswadi) NS Sakri and other police personnel in the team.
The accused were identified as Mohammed Baba Sheikh, Ridoy Babo, Sagar and Hakeel. A woman accomplice was arrested too whose name has not been disclosed.
Police officials and government sources have confirmed that the viral video is an unrelated incident. The victim in the video is not the late Lovi Sumi, a woman from Nagaland working in Jodhpur, who had recently committed suicide.
