The Allahabad HC had convicted Ansari saying his image was that of a dreaded criminal and mafia don, who had more than 60 cases of heinous crimes registered against him.

Qasim Khan is feared like his father Munnan Khan. He was engaged in several unlawful activities along with the latter.

An FIR has been registered against 6 people, including Abbas Ansari, his wife Nikhat Bano, driver Niaz, Chitrakoot Jail Superintendent Ashok Sagar, Deputy Jailor Sushil Kumar, and Constable Jagmohan.

Gangster Act was imposed against Mukhtar Ansari in five different cases, the oldest of which dates back to 1996.

During the investigation, SIT found that those who were called for the violence were assured they would get free legal aid and their family would get financial support. The people were appointed by Mukhtar Baba and assurance of legal and financial help was given by Haji Vasi.

The land that was seized, under the supervision of Vivek Yadav, the Additional Superintendent of Lalkurti police, belonged to the notorious drug dealer Haji Tasleem

As the police arrived in the Agra court to produce the gangster before the magistrate, the criminals ambushed and snatched him away.
